HEADS UP PALANASNON RIDERS! HELMET ON, SAFETY FIRST.

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Ronda District Office will officially implement OPLAN HEADSAFE starting June 2026 across the municipalities in the southwestern part of Cebu Province.

This intensified enforcement campaign focuses on strict compliance with Republic Act 10054 (The Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009), which requires all motorcycle riders and back riders to wear standard protective helmets at all times while driving.

📌 Remember: NO HELMET, NO RIDE.
There will be no excuses and no exemptions when it comes to road safety.

⚠️ Penalties for violation:
• 1st offense: ₱1,500 fine
• 2nd offense: ₱3,000 fine
• 3rd offense: ₱5,000 fine
• 4th & succeeding offenses: ₱10,000 fine + confiscation/suspension of driver’s license

Wearing a helmet is not just about following the law—it’s about protecting your life and the lives of your loved ones.

Let’s all cooperate and promote responsible road use.

TINABANGAY PARA SA MGA MANANAGAT SA PALANAS!

Malampuson nga nahigayon kagahapon ang “TAMBOG SA PAYAO/GANGO”, usa ka proyekto nga nagpakita sa panaghiusa ug pagtinabangay alang sa kaayohan sa atong mga mananagat. Kini nga maayong kalihokan usa ka love project sa Barangay Palanas in collaboration with UFFAPR.

Daghang salamat sa tanang nitampo, niapil, ug nagpakita og suporta aron mahimong malampuson kining mahinungdanong kalihokan para sa atong komunidad. Padayon ang panaghiusa para sa mas lig-on ug mas maayong kaugmaon sa mga mananagat sa Palanas!

Barangay Palanas successfully conducted its 1st Semester CY 2026 Barangay Assembly on March 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM.

During the assembly, members of the Barangay Council presented updates under their respective committee chairmanships, highlighting the progress and ongoing projects of the barangay.

Barangay Chairman Ronelo Aquino delivered his State of the Barangay Address (SOBA), where he emphasized the importance of active community participation in barangay assemblies. He also provided updates on the barangay’s 2026 budget, as well as the status of ongoing and upcoming programs and projects, including those scheduled for bidding this year.

The activity reflects the barangay’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance.

1st Barangay Palanas Assembly in Partnership with KALAHI-CIDSS

Successfully conducted in collaboration with the Barangay Palanas Officials, headed by Hon. Ronelo T. Aquino, with the active participation of Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Barangay Tanods, and other appointed officials.

The assembly was also attended by community volunteers, barangay constituents, UFFAPR officials and members, Solo Parents, Women’s Association members, and Senior Citizens, reflecting strong community unity and participation.
