📣📣First Ever Naked Warrior Run at Visayas!📣📣

In connection with the Naval Special Operations Command 68th Founding Anniversary, the Naval Special Operations Unit 5 held its first ever Naked Warrior Run here in the Visayas! Last 09 November 2024, officers and men of NAVSOU5, together with our friends and stakeholders, hurdled a grueling 3Km run with a twist! The race track was composed of 6 different stations, designed to challenge the strength and determination of each participants to finish the race. After each obstacle, an ice cold beer is prepared as a reward for job well done.

The tiresome race track was skillfully designed by the Officers and Men of NAVSOU5, commemorating some of the most memorable exercises during their training. Each obstacle requires a good “mind and body” coordination to properly execute the exercises without gaining any injury. It is also crafted to challenge the mental state of each individual under pressure. The beer symbolizes that every hardship will come to an end, sooner or later. After surviving your day, may it be easy as pie or tough as nails, a beer or two will always make it better.🥂🍺

🏆After the run, LT DENNIS B ORJE PN, gives a very inspirational message not just to the men of NAVSOU5 but also to all stakeholders who participated. The efforts of the racers was properly recognized by giving a plaque and the exclusive, limited edition NAVSOU5 Cap and Refrigerator Magnet.

For those who miss the event, dont be sorry for your self! We are looking forward to do the same for next year’s anniversary, longer run, more obstacle, more beer, and more fun! So now start preparing your self for more challenges to come! Hooyaah!

Lapu-lapu City, Cebu - on the 17th day of October 2024, Naval Instillation Facility - Central, undergo a marksmanship training at Naval Base Rafael Ramos Firing Range. The said training was facilitated by the men of and was successfully concluded without any untoward incidents.

NIF-C regularly conduct marksmanship training because they are the unit primary responsible for base security. While the primary role of the Forces Central is to secure the sea waters of whole Visayas, our base on land play crucial roles in logistics, training, command, and housing, making them potential targets for attacks. Marksmanship skills equip the NIF-C personnel to safeguard Naval Base Rafael Ramos effectively.

Well-trained Navy personnel are a strong deterrent against potential threats. The visible presence of disciplined, capable marksmen on duty, communicates to would-be attackers that security is robust and prepared, potentially preventing incidents before they occur. Regular marksmanship drills and readiness exercises reinforce a proactive security posture, demonstrating the Navy’s commitment to protecting its facilities and people.

The discipline, precision, and situational awareness gained through this training directly contribute to a robust security posture, keeping NBRR secure and operationally ready.
