CCPO SUSTAINS FI****MS CRACKDOWN, TWO ARRESTED IN SEPARATE SEARCH WARRANT OPERATIONS
In its continuing efforts to strengthen public safety and curb the proliferation of unlicensed fi****ms, the Cebu City Police Office, under the leadership of Acting City Director PCOL RICKY C SUMALDE, conducted separate law enforcement operations in Cebu City that resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of fi****ms and ammunition.
On the evening of August 30, 2026, personnel of Police Station 6, under the direct supervision of PMAJ NOAH LABRA AΓANA, implemented a Search Warrant in Barangay Sawang Calero, Cebu City. The operation resulted in the arrest of an individual and the recovery of one (1) Paltik LLAMA pistol caliber .380, with one (1) magazine loaded with three (3) live caliber .380 ammunition. The arrested individual failed to present the necessary documents authorizing the lawful possession of the firearm.
Meanwhile, on the morning of August 31, 2026, personnel of the City Mobile Force Company (CMFC), CCPO, under the direct supervision of PLTCOL CHRISTIAN JOY Q ALQUEZA, implemented a Search Warrant in Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City. During the lawful search, the operating team recovered one (1) caliber .357 revolver loaded with two (2) live caliber .357 ammunition in its cylinder. The arrested individual likewise failed to present the necessary documents authorizing the lawful possession of the recovered firearm and ammunition.
Both arrested individuals will subsequently be detained under the respective jurisdiction of the concerned unit or police station, pending the filing of the appropriate charges before the proper court.
These operations underscore the CCPOβs sustained commitment to enforcing the countryβs fi****ms laws, preventing the misuse of illegally possessed weapons, and maintaining peace and security in Cebu City.
