Another day, another activity for the Rotary Club of Banilad Metro!

This morning, August 14, 2026, some of our members gathered for a fun and energetic Pickleball Game—proving that after a series of activities these past few days, the RCBM spirit and energy continue to shine!

Beyond service, we celebrate fellowship, friendship, fitness, and fun. And the excitement doesn’t stop here! Our Ways & Means Chairperson, Stefany Dumas, is already conceptualizing a future Pickleball Tournament soon—another opportunity for fellowship, friendly competition, and bringing our members together!

Navigating Change. Rising Stronger.

Yesterday, August 13, 2026, members of the Rotary Club of Banilad Metro proudly participated in the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Business Summit 2026 held at Marco Polo Plaza Cebu.

The summit brought together business leaders, professionals, and changemakers for meaningful discussions and valuable insights on economic development, resilience, sustainability, innovation, and the challenges and opportunities shaping our communities.

A heartfelt thank you to our Immediate Past President, Marvey Alcantara, Corporate Secretary of the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairperson of Mandaue Business Month 2026, for the initiative and for giving RCBM members this wonderful opportunity to be part of this significant gathering.

We are grateful for opportunities that broaden our perspectives, strengthen partnerships, and inspire us to Create Lasting Impact through service and collaboration.

Until We Meet Again

Our wonderful fellowship with our sister club, Rotary Club of Baran, came to a close with heartfelt send-offs.

Last Sunday evening, we bid farewell to their Chairman and General Affairs Manager, who headed home ahead of the group. Then, on Tuesday night, we sent off the rest of our dear friends from Baran.

Thank you for the friendship, fellowship, laughter, music, and beautiful memories we shared during your visit to Cebu.

A Beautiful Sunday of Fellowship

A day after our 30th Induction & Hand-over Ceremonies, the spirit of friendship and Rotary fellowship continued as the Rotary Club of Banilad Metro warmly welcomed our dear sister club, Rotary Club of Baran, South Korea for a beautiful Sunday gathering at the lovely home of our Secretary, Cherry.

It was a day filled with singing, dancing, laughter, meaningful conversations, and delicious food. From heartfelt songs to spontaneous dance moments, everyone simply enjoyed being together, creating happy memories and celebrating the beautiful bond between our two clubs.

To our dear friends from Rotary Club of Baran, thank you for traveling all the way to Cebu and for celebrating with us not only our special occasion, but also the friendship that continues to unite our clubs across borders.

And to Secretary Cherry and family, thank you for opening your beautiful home and your hearts to us. Your warm hospitality made this Sunday fellowship truly special.

30th Induction & Hand-over Ceremonies

A memorable evening of fellowship, gratitude, and renewed commitment!

The Rotary Club of Banilad Metro proudly celebrated its 30th Induction & Hand-over Ceremonies on August 8, 2026, at the Barcelona Room, Casino Español de Cebu, Cebu City.

It was a meaningful gathering as we welcomed a new Rotary year, honored the leadership that came before us, and embraced the responsibility of continuing our club’s legacy of Service Above Self.

A special message to our leaders:

President Hannah R. Cadavero — May your leadership inspire unity, service, and meaningful action as you lead RCBM into another year of Creating Lasting Impact. May this new chapter be filled with purpose, fellowship, and success.

Immediate Past President Marvey Alcantara — Thank you for your dedicated leadership, commitment, and service to our club. Your contributions have helped strengthen the foundation upon which we continue to build. We are grateful for your service and look forward to your continued support.

As we begin this new Rotary year, may we continue to work together, strengthen our fellowship, and make a difference in the communities we serve.

BANGON BAYAN PROGRAM:
SERVICE BEFORE CELEBRATION

A day before our 30th Induction & Hand-over Ceremonies, the Rotary Club of Banilad Metro came together for the Bangon Bayan Information Drive Campaign on August 7, 2026, at Sitio Huyong-Huyong Chapel, Brgy. Bacayan, Cebu City.

We chose Barangay Bacayan as one of our communities for this initiative because it was greatly affected by flooding during Typhoon Tino that hit Cebu last November 4, 2025. Through Bangon Bayan, we wanted to bring not only immediate assistance but also greater awareness and preparedness to a community that has experienced the impact of natural disasters.

As part of the activity, Bangon Bayan volunteers conducted an orientation on the campaign’s advocacies, promoting disaster preparedness, community resilience, sustainable livelihoods, and agricultural development.

The orientation was followed by a Rice Distribution Activity for 50 beneficiaries, extending support and sharing the spirit of Bayanihan with families in the community.

More than providing rice, we shared hope, compassion, and the importance of being prepared and resilient.

This was truly service before celebration—a meaningful way to begin our new Rotary year and live out our commitment to Create Lasting Impact.
