𝟴𝟲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 ♥️

As the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) celebrates its 86th Anniversary, COMELEC Region VII commemorated this milestone in a meaningful and heartfelt way by sharing time, blessings, and joy with the elderly.

With the theme “𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴, 𝘚𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘑𝘰𝘺: 𝘈 𝘋𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘌𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘺,” Region VII brought its anniversary celebration to the 𝗥𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗱 today, August 21, 2026, in Guinsay, Danao City, Cebu.

In collaboration with the Association of COMELEC Cebu Employees (ACCE), CFC Handmaids of the Lord, and ARENA 7, the celebration was more than an anniversary activity. It was an expression of gratitude, compassion, and service, reminding us that 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲.

As COMELEC looks back on 86 years of advancing democracy and serving the Filipino people, Region VII celebrates the occasion by embracing one simple message:

Following yesterday's conference for Cebu Province, COMELEC Region VII continued its 3rd Quarter Coordinating Conference today at Tagbilaran City, Bohol with the Election Officers and Election Assistants of the Province of Bohol, headed by Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Eliseo R.Z. B. Labaria.

The conference carried the same discussions on BSKE 2026 updates, upcoming activities, and other pertinent matters.

Representatives from the Regional and Central COMELEC Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (RECEMPCO) are likewise present to introduce the cooperative’s offerings and engage with COMELEC personnel on its available support and services.

The conference also allowed the participants to share updates and address matters related to election operations.

📸 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂 𝐑𝟕 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐞𝐛𝐮 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞

The 3rd Quarter Coordinating Conference of COMELEC Region VII for the Province of Cebu was held today at Griffin Hotel and Suites, Cebu City, attended by the Provincial Election Supervisor, Atty. Marchel C. Sarno, and Election Officers from across Cebu, to discuss BSKE2026 updates and preparations.

The conference focused on the discussion of RED Atty. Francisco G. Pobe, who presented the latest BSKE2026 updates, upcoming activities, and explained pertinent COMELEC resolutions to ensure their proper implementation. ARED Atty. Veronico G. Petalcorin also attended the conference and shared his message and inputs with the participants.

The conference also featured a presentation from the Regional and Central COMELEC Employees Multipurpose Cooperative (RECEMPCO) on its programs, services, and benefits for COMELEC employees.

The activity concluded with reminders and discussions among the participants.

🗓️ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟑 | 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Day 3 took the COMELEC ORED VII to Lazi, Siquijor for a visit to their historic church and convent, offering the team a chance to appreciate the island's rich history and heritage.

A courtesy call to the OEO Lazi, Siquijor was also part of the last day's itinerary and was graciously welcomed by the office personnel.

The last day concluded with visits to some of Lazi's well-known tourist spots, where the team enjoyed the local attractions while continuing to build camaraderie through shared experiences.

🗓️ 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 | 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟓, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The second day of COMELEC ORED VII's TBA 2026 began with the conduct of a Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar, where the team actively took part in different activities centered on gender sensitivity, equality, and inclusivity, in the workplace and in the community.

Following the seminar, a courtesy call was conducted at OEO San Juan, Siquijor. The visit provided an opportunity to build connections and exchange valuable insights aligned with our respective areas of work.

The day continued with visits to several tourist destinations in Siquijor Province, allowing participants to gain a deeper appreciation of the island’s culture, and natural attractions.

The COMELEC ORED VII set foot in the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐣𝐨𝐫 for its Team Building Activity (TBA) and Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar 2026.

The team received a warm welcome during the courtesy visit to the OPES of Siquijor Province, which was also graced by the presence of the Election Officer of OEO Larena, Siquijor.

The day concluded with a welcome dinner, bringing everyone together in an atmosphere of camaraderie and fellowship as the team began its meaningful activity in the island province.
