Fair skies across most parts of Cebu City, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu, with temperatures around 26–28 °C. Light showers and isolated thunderstorms remain possible late this afternoon, according to PAGASA Mactan Station.

🚗 Traffic Update:

Moderate traffic flow observed in key areas of Cebu City and Mandaue, while Lapu-Lapu remains generally passable.

Motorists are advised to drive safely, stay alert for sudden rain, and keep headlights on during low visibility.

A road crash has been reported at Apitong St. / N. Escario St., involving a private sedan and a tricycle. Traffic personnel are on site.

In Banilad area, live traffic shows slow movement, likely due to congestion or roadworks.

In Pardo / Kinasang-an area, there are reports of slow traffic, accidents or blockages.

No major traffic incidents across Cebu City currently.

As of now, there are no active weather warnings or advisories for Cebu City.

On a broader forecast: Expect scattered thunderstorms in the morning, then cloudy skies in the afternoon.

🚨 UPDATE: IT Park Cebu – Evacuation Following Quake

At around 1:06 AM today, a magnitude ~6.0 quake struck near Bogo, Cebu, sending tremors across the region.

In IT Park, workers from several BPO/IT buildings were immediately evacuated as a precaution.

Many night shift employees were seen exiting the buildings in the dark, waiting in open areas for further instructions.

As of now: No major structural collapse has been reported in IT Park.

Inspections are underway in all the affected offices and commercial buildings.

Employees are being urged to stay calm, remain in safe zones, and follow instructions from building management or emergency personnel.

🌆 Overall Status in Cebu City & Nearby Areas (As of Now)

✅Many buildings in Cebu City felt shaking (Intensity IV). No confirmed widespread catastrophic damage reported so far from this 1 AM quake.

✅Authorities have issued reminders that aftershocks are to be expected and that people should remain cautious.

✅The quake “woke up Cebu,” causing alarm in residential areas, but there are no verified reports yet of major structural collapse from this event.

✅Many areas that had already sustained damage from the earlier quake remain under close watch. The new tremor may aggravate weak structures.

✅The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has elevated its alert status (Operation Center moved to Code Red) and response clusters have been activated.

✅As day breaks, damage assessments are expected to begin in earnest - inspections of buildings, roads, utilities (power, water, telecommunications) will be prioritized.

Cebu City was shocked by an Intensity 4 earthquake in the middle of the night, causing brief shaking felt across several areas. Many residents were awakened by the tremor, which serves as a strong reminder to always be prepared even during unexpected hours.
