August 7, 2026 was a day filled with 𝗳𝘂𝗻, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 as the UC-METC Emergency Response Team took part in Paglawig 2026! 🚨

Our booth welcomed students through 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀, exciting prizes, and activities that gave everyone a glimpse of the ERT experience. We also showcased our journey, accomplishments, and what it means to be part of a team that serves, leads, and responds to care.

For those who wanted to become part of the team, we also provided registration opportunities and QR codes for easy access to our website and application forms.

BATCH APOLLO RINGHOP AND PINNING CEREMONY | July 30, 2026

A proud milestone was celebrated as Batch Apollo held its Ringhop and Pinning Ceremony on June 30, 2026, at SM Seaside Sky Hall.

The ceremony was made even more meaningful through the presence and inspiring messages of Capt. Gerry D. Enjambre, Campus Director; Mr. Joseph Sabello, CEO of Underground Apparel; Engr. Ronaldo P. Bandalaria, Regional Director II of MARINA Region VII. The event was further supported by the UC-METC Emergency Response Team, whose professionalism and preparedness helped ensure the safety and security of all attendees, contributing to the smooth and successful conduct of the ceremony.

More than a tradition, the Ringhop and Pinning Ceremony symbolizes the values of honor, discipline, and commitment that every future maritime professional is called to uphold. As Batch Apollo takes this significant step forward, may they continue to navigate their journey with courage, integrity, and excellence.

Honoring the dedication, resilience, and invaluable contributions of seafarers around the world!

The 𝗨𝗖-𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗖 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺, together with 𝗨𝗖-𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗖 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦, proudly participated in the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, joining seafarers, sponsors, future seafarers, and maritime industry stakeholders in celebrating the people who keep the world connected through the seas.

The event commenced with the Fluvial Parade at the Cebu Port Authority, near the Malacañan sa Sugbo Museum, followed by the main program at the 𝗖𝘂𝗯𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗦𝗠 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂.

The program officially opened with a Welcome Address by 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗼 𝗣. 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗔 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗜𝗜, who warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of recognizing the dedication, professionalism, and significant contributions of Filipino seafarers to the global maritime industry.

As one maritime community, we continue to honor the courage, commitment, and excellence of our seafarers while inspiring the next generation of maritime professionals.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿, 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 | 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Preparedness is everyone's responsibility!

Yesterday, we successfully conducted a Fire Safety Seminar led by the 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗕𝗙𝗣) 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, followed by a 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 in coordination with the 𝗨𝗖 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗖 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲.

The activity provided valuable knowledge on fire prevention, emergency response, evacuation procedures, and disaster preparedness, helping ensure the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff.

We extend our sincere appreciation to 𝗕𝗙𝗣 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 and the 𝗨𝗖 𝗠𝗘𝗧𝗖 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 for their guidance, expertise, and commitment to promoting a culture of safety and resilience.

BASIC FIRE FIGHTING TRAINING COURSE | June 06, 2026

The UC-METC Emergency Response Team has successfully completed the Basic Fire Fighting Training Course, enhancing their knowledge, skills, and readiness to respond effectively during fire emergencies.

This training has strengthened our team's capability to protect lives, property, and the community through proper fire prevention, fire suppression techniques, and emergency response procedures.

We are proud of every team member for their dedication, commitment, and active participation throughout the course. Together, we continue to build a safer and more prepared workplace and community.
