A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS: CELEBRATING RECOVERY, HOPE, AND PURPOSE 🎓💙

Today, August 20, 2026, COSAP celebrates a beautiful milestone—the Moving-Up and Graduation Ceremony of our Outpatient and Aftercare & Follow-Up Program clients.

Today is not simply about receiving a certificate. It is about celebrating courage, change, and the decision to keep moving forward. 🎓✨

To our graduates: You have already come so far. You faced challenges, made difficult choices, and chose recovery one day at a time. Your journey reminds us that the past does not have to define your future. Recovery gives you the opportunity to rewrite your story.

We are deeply grateful to our Cebu City Mayor Hon. Nestor D. Archival for being with us today, leading our graduates in the Pledge of Commitment to Recovery. His message reminds us that graduation is not the finish line—it is the beginning of a new chapter filled with purpose, responsibility, and hope. 🙏💙

Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to Social Service Committee Chairperson Hon. City Councilor Francis Esparis for his inspiring message and unwavering support for our recovery clients. Your presence and encouragement help remind our graduates that their community believes in them and is ready to support them as they move forward. 🤝

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Hon. Nice Archival for her continued support to COSAP and, most importantly, to our recovery clients. Her compassion, encouragement, and commitment to initiatives that uplift and empower individuals on their journey to recovery are truly appreciated.

BARANGAY TISA CONDUCTS BADAC STRATEGIC PLANNING

On August 15, 2026 Barangay Tisa successfully conducted its Strategic Planning, bringing together key stakeholders and partner agencies to strengthen its programs and initiatives toward a safer, healthier, and drug-free community.

The activity was attended by COSAP Executive Director Greg L. Rodriguez, RN, together with representatives from PDEA Region VII, PNP Station 10, and the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA)

The strategic planning served as an avenue to discuss priorities, strengthen collaboration, and develop concrete actions in addressing issues related to drug prevention, intervention, and community development.

Through strong partnerships and coordinated efforts, Barangay Tisa continues to demonstrate its commitment to building a drug-free, safe, and empowered community.

The Balay Silangan Reformation Center (BSRC) proudly celebrates the Completion of Batch 3 and Moving-Up Ceremony of Batch 5, honoring the dedication, courage, and commitment of our reformists as they take another meaningful step toward a better and drug-free life.

The ceremony was graced by Greg L. Rodriguez, RN, Executive Director of the Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP), whose continued support and encouragement inspire our reformists throughout their journey.

🩸 A Gift of Life: COSAP PWUD Clients Join Blood Donation Drive at Balay Silangan Today, the Cebu City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP), in partnership with the Subnational Blood Donor Center Visayas – Department of Health (DOH), successfully conducted a Blood Donation Activity for our Persons Who Use Drugs (PWUD) clients at the Balay Silangan Reformation Center, Bypass Road, SRP, Cebu City.

Led by Dr. JOvert Cajate and the dedicated team from the Subnational Blood Donor Center Visayas–DOH, the activity highlighted that recovery is not only about overcoming addiction—it is also about giving back to the community through acts of compassion and service.

Every eligible blood donor became a symbol of hope, proving that lives transformed through recovery can also help save the lives of others.

COSAP extends its heartfelt gratitude to the DOH team, our partner agencies, and all volunteer donors who made this meaningful activity a success. Together, we continue to build healthier individuals, stronger families, and a safer, drug-resilient Cebu City.
