๐–๐€๐“๐‚๐‡: The Civil Relations Groupโ€“Central Visayas (CRG-CV), together with the Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV), attended the celebration of the 219th Squadron Founding Anniversary held at Parklane International Hotel, Cebu City.

The celebration featured Mess Night 2026, carrying the theme, โ€œFive Years Strong: United in Service, Committed to Excellence, Anchored on Integrity.โ€ The event served as a testament to the squadronโ€™s enduring commitment to service, camaraderie, professionalism, and integrity while recognizing the invaluable contributions of its officers and members in advancing the mission of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA).

One of the highlights of the evening was the promotion of Auxiliary Captain Antonio Sulay II, PCGA, along with the donning of ranks and oath-taking ceremony of six (6) PCGA members. The ceremony underscored the organizationโ€™s commitment to developing competent leaders and honoring individuals whose dedication and exemplary service continue to strengthen the Auxiliaryโ€™s role in supporting the Philippine Coast Guard.

The event was graced by Auxiliary Vice Admiral Manolita T Faelnar, PCGA, National Director of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In her message, she emphasized the importance of unity, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service as the foundation of a stronger and more responsive Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Also present during the celebration were Acting Chief of Staff, Coast Guard District Central Visayas, LT Howard Dwight Q Dolino, PCG; Auxiliary Commodore Ludwig P. Amandoron, PCGA (NAMO Officer); Auxiliary Commander Rosemarie Pateรฑo, PCGA; together with other distinguished District Auxiliary Squadron (DAS) officers and PCGA members, who gathered to celebrate five years of dedicated service and organizational achievements.

The successful celebration not only honored the accomplishments of the 219th Squadron over the past five years but also reaffirmed the organizationโ€™s shared commitment to excellence, volunteerism, and nation-building in support of the Philippine Coast Guardโ€™s mission.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: The Coast Guard Civil Relations Service (CGCRS) officially convened a total of 60 students, composed of five (05) officers and 55 enlisted personnel for the Coast Guard Civil Relations Basic Course Class 01-2026 on July 20, 2026 via Zoom.

The convening ceremony was graced by Rear Admiral Roben N De Guzman PCG, Commander, Coast Guard Civil Relations Service, who served as the keynote speaker. In his message, he emphasized that CGCRS personnel must master the basics and exactly know who they are and what they do. Ensuring that every coastguardian in the service speaks with one voice and acts with one purpose.

Through continuous professional development, the CGCRS remains committed to building a highly competent, unified, and mission-ready civil relations workforce in support of the Philippine Coast Guard's strategic communication and public service initiatives.

The activity is in line with the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to upholding discipline, integrity, operational readiness, and ensuring the safety and security of the public. It also aims to ensure that CGDCV personnel and its tenant units remain free from any involvement in illegal drugs, thereby maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and accountability in the service.

CRG-CV remains steadfast in promoting a drug-free workplace and community while continuously supporting initiatives that enhance the safety, welfare, and readiness of all Coast Guard personnel.

The Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV), under the leadership of District Commander RADM AGAPITO B BIBAT PCG, warmly welcomed RADM ROBEN N DE GUZMAN PCG, Commander of the Coast Guard Civil Relations Service (CGCRS), during his official visit on 15 July 2026 at the Headquarters, Coast Guard District Central Visayas, Pier 3, Arellano Boulevard, Cebu City.

The visit aimed to further strengthen coordination and collaboration between the Coast Guard Civil Relations Service and Coast Guard District Central Visayas in advancing the Philippine Coast Guard's strategic communication, public affairs, and community relations initiatives. It likewise underscored the shared commitment of both units to enhancing public trust, organizational excellence, and meaningful stakeholder engagement.

RADM DE GUZMAN was formally received by District Commander RADM BIBAT, together with the District Staff and CGDCV personnel. During the visit, both leaders discussed ongoing civil relations programs, strategic communication efforts, and initiatives designed to increase public awareness of the Philippine Coast Guard's mandates, missions, and services.

The activity also reaffirmed the Philippine Coast Guard's commitment to transparent, responsive, and people-centered public service through strengthened partnerships and effective communication with its stakeholders.

Coast Guard District Central Visayas remains steadfast in supporting the programs and initiatives of the Coast Guard Civil Relations Service in pursuit of its mission to ensure maritime safety, maritime security, marine environmental protection, and maritime search and rescue throughout its area of responsibility.

IN PHOTOS: The Civil Relations Groupโ€“Central Visayas (CRG-CV) participated in the Sagip CPR Training held at Cebu City Hall, Cebu City today,15 July 2026.

The activity was organized by Bell-Kenz Pharma, Inc. through its Sagip CPR advocacy, headed by Mr. Patrick Larraga, Head of Corporate Branding and Public Affairs in partnership with the City Government of Cebu, the Department of Health (DOH), and the Philippine Coast Guard. The initiative forms part of the nationwide campaign to equip more Filipinos with life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills and strengthen community preparedness during medical emergencies.

Rear Admiral Roben De Guzman PCG, Commander of Coast Guard Civil Relations Service , spearheaded the Philippine Coast Guard's participation in the event. In his message, he emphasized the Philippine Coast Guard's unwavering support for initiatives that strengthen emergency preparedness and enhance lifesaving capabilities, underscoring the importance of equipping communities with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively during emergencies.

Meanwhile, Mr. Patrick Larraga highlighted that the Sagip CPR movement aims to empower ordinary citizens to become immediate responders during cardiac emergencies, stressing that every individual trained in CPR has the potential to save a life. He likewise expressed his appreciation to the Philippine Coast Guard, the City Government of Cebu, the Department of Health, and all partner organizations for their collective commitment to building safer, more resilient communities through life-saving education.

More than 1,000 participants composed of Philippine Coast Guard personnel, barangay health workers, local government personnel,Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, and representatives from various organizations, attended the training.

Participants gained essential knowledge and practical skills in Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the proper use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), emphasizing the importance of timely and effective response during cardiac emergencies before professional medical responders arrive. The initiative also strengthened collaboration among government agencies, partner organizations, and community stakeholders in promoting a culture of preparedness, resilience, and public safety.

Present during the initiative were Cebu City Mayor Nestor D. Archival Sr., Rear Admiral Agapito B Bibat PCG, Commander of Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV), Vice Admiral Manolita T Faelnar PCGA, National Director of Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA), officials from the Department of Health, representatives of Bell-Kenz Pharma, Inc., local government officials, and other partner agencies and stakeholders.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š: In celebration of National Blood Donors Month, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in collaboration with the Manila Center for Health Development โ€“ Philippine Blood Center, facilitated by Coast Guard Medical Dispensary, conducted a blood donation drive on July 13, 2026, at the Function Hall of the PCG National Headquarters.
