The Local Government Unit of Barangay Busay, Cebu City successfully hosted the Training Needs Analysis/Assessment (TNA) Session conducted by the Cebu City Resource Management and Development Center (CREMDEC) Training Services Team as part of its initiative to assess the priority training and capability development needs of the barangay. The activity also served as the launching point for the Barangay Profiling to be undertaken by the Community Extension Team and Barangay Tourism Touchpoints as a special project.

The session was actively participated in by the Barangay Officials, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Officials, Barangay Staff, Farmers Association Officials/Representatives, and other stakeholders, who shared valuable insights on the current needs, challenges, and opportunities for capacity development within the community. The results of the assessment will guide the formulation of responsive training programs and interventions that will further strengthen local governance, public service delivery, community empowerment, and sustainable tourism development.

The Barangay Busay extends its sincere gratitude to the CREMDEC Training Services Team, the Community Extension Team, Barangay Tourism Touchpoints, and all participants for their invaluable support, active collaboration, and commitment to promoting continuous learning and institutional development.

The Local Government Unit of Barangay Busay, under the leadership of Punong Barangay Hon. Yody Sanchez, successfully convened the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC) Monthly Meeting as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen the implementation of anti-illegal drug programs, public safety initiatives, and inter-agency coordination within the barangay.

The meeting was attended by representatives from Busay National High School, Busay Elementary School, Department of Social Welfare and Services (DSWS) – Aftercare Program, Senior Citizen Organization of Busay (SCOOB), Day Care Teachers, Mr. Michael Vincent B. Seno of the City Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (COSAP), PSSg. Luis Michael Puerto, Pulis sa Barangay from Mabolo Police Station 4, members of the Barangay Tanod, and the Barangay Councils of Barangay Busay.

The Council discussed updates on the implementation of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Program, aftercare and rehabilitation initiatives, preventive education, community-based interventions, and other matters aimed at sustaining Barangay Busay's commitment to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and drug-free community through collaborative governance.

Barangay Busay expresses its sincere appreciation to all participating agencies for their continued cooperation and steadfast support in promoting peace and order, public safety, and the general welfare of the community.
