Disaster Help Tools is a proud affiliate of The Vetiver Network International (TVNI) of which the founder himself Dr Richard Grimshaw is an important direct contact-person and benefactor as far as knowledge transfer is concerned.
The sharing of most important information use case and application, research data, linkage and training assistance are helpful in our promotion of Vetiver System in the Philippines.
We are humbled and inspired by the kind gesture and guidance of TVNI and the worldwide connection.
Vetiver Grass Technology Standards:
There is wide variation in how Vetiver Grass Technology is designed and applied across regions, sectors, and project types. To support greater consistency, reliability, and quality, TVNI is and will continue to publish generic standards grounded in research, long-term field experience, and—where appropriate—engineering principles that reflect current best practice.
These standards are intended not only to guide design and implementation, but also to assist agencies, consultants, and contractors in developing clear, contract‑ready documentation. By defining minimum technical requirements for design, plant material, installation, and quality assurance, the standards help improve workmanship and overall project performance. They are intentionally generic and may be adapted to local conditions, regulatory frameworks, and project objectives.
Because vetiver is a nature‑based technology that continues to evolve through innovation and field learning, TVNI welcomes feedback and contributions from users to keep the standards current and relevant.
Disclaimer: These standards are provided as guidance only. TVNI does not assume responsibility for project outcomes. The performance and results of any vetiver application depend on the decisions, designs, supervision, and workmanship of those who plan, specify, and implement the work.
