Based on the latest PAGASA weather update and the recommendation of the CDRRMO, Mayor Randy Singson signed EO No. 59, Series of 2026, suspending work in City Government offices and classes in all levels, public and private, on August 6, 2026.

This is a precautionary measure due to Tropical Storm Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon.

The 55th Regular Session

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Vigan convened its 55th Regular Session on July 27, 2026, at the SP Session Hall. The session was presided over by Vice Mayor Atty. Glendale Benzon, with the perfect attendance of all members of the Ninth City Council.

During the session, the City Council approved a total of five (5) legislative measures, consisting of four (4) ordinances and one (1) resolution.

Through these legislative actions and recognitions, the Ninth City Council continues to strengthen responsive governance, promote social welfare, support public transportation services, advance gender-responsive development, and celebrate the accomplishments of Bigueños who bring honor and pride to the City of Vigan.

The 54th Regular Session

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Vigan convened its 54th Regular Session on July 20, 2026, at the SP Session Hall. The session was presided over by Vice Mayor Atty. Glendale Benzon, with majority of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Members present.

During the session, a total of five (5) legislative measures, consisting of two (2) ordinances and three (3) resolutions were approved. The approved measures reflect the City's continued commitment to strengthening local transportation services, enhancing community-based health and rehabilitation programs, ensuring fiscal accountability, and recognizing the valuable contributions of civic organizations to community development.
