The Barangay Development Council of Barangay Luna successfully conducted its Monthly Flag-Raising Ceremony. The activity was spearheaded by our active Punong Barangay, Ariel Mopos , together with the Barangay Kagawad Serbisyong Arlene Mahino , Te Kmart, Ken James Valle Malaran, Antmarie Arazo, and Melody Mitch Olita, along with Barangay Treasurer Aida V. Quidet, Barangay Secretary Josie Dumadapat, and SK Chairperson Bob Vincent Valledor Quidet.

The ceremony was hosted by Barangay Tanod Maritez Sarong Mingo.

The activity was joined by various associations and organizations under the Barangay Luna Council, namely:

Barangay Health Workers
Cooperative Representative
NCDC

This monthly BDC flag-raising activity serves as a venue for information dissemination, updates, and strengthening coordination among the Barangay Development Council members of Barangay Luna.

The Barangay Luna Council, headed by Punong Barangay Ariel Mopos , together with the SK Council led by SK Chairperson Bob Vincent Valledor Quidet , joined forces with our BHWs, Zone Leaders, BNS, Midwife, and dedicated volunteers in a synchronized clean-up drive along the highway.

This activity emphasizes the importance of keeping our surroundings—especially public roads—clean and safe to prevent accidents, reduce pollution, and protect the health of the community. A clean and orderly highway reflects discipline, cooperation, and care for our environment.

Building Knowledge to Better Protect Our Youth 👥📘

Barangay Luna representatives participated in the seminar entitled “TRAINING ON BARANGAY PROTOCOL IN HANDLING CHILDREN AT-RISK (CAR) AND CHILDREN-IN-CONFLICT WITH THE LAW (CICL), DIVERSION PROGRAM, AND COMPREHENSIVE BARANGAY JUVENILE INTERVENTION PROGRAM (CLJIP).”

The activity was attended by Punong Barangay Ariel Mopos , Barangay Kagawad – Committee on Social Services Melody Mitch Olita, SK Chairperson Bob Vincent Valledor Quidet, and Barangay Secretary Josie Dumadapat .

The seminar emphasized child-sensitive procedures, early intervention, and diversion programs to protect children’s rights and promote positive youth development, reinforcing the barangay’s commitment to safeguarding and guiding the youth of the community.

The Barangay Luna Council conducted its regular session last November 10, 2025, with one excused member and no absences, including the ex-officio.
The council discussed the upcoming activities for December and provided follow-ups and updates on ongoing projects and planned initiatives for the community.
