Camarines Norte

PROJECT TANAW

Project TANAW started in January 2020 as an information hub about the evacuation centers’ needs and surpluses during the Taal Relief and Response phase. Two Laguna-based organizations spearheaded the movement. They are PRAXIS Associates PH Co. and Sierreza: Community Supported Agriculture.

It was reactivated in March 2020 due to the pressing need of consolidating all of the floating information on the web and social media about the front liners’ PPE needs. Now, it has over 270 online volunteers who are regrouped into four sub-teams that work on data encoding, cleansing and verification, visualization, and mapping. The main communication channels of Project TANAW are its page (https://www.facebook.com/TeamTANAW/) and live maps on Google Maps, as follows: http://prx.ph/covidphhealthunits (powered by Defend the Front Line PH); http://prx.ph/covidphaid; and http://prx.ph/covidphdonation. Project TANAW aims to publish insights on the ecosystem of the informal aid right now so as to spark discussion and replication of good practices in various communities in the country. πŸ‘‹πŸ‘‹VOLUNTEERS, DONORS, AND INFORMATION VERIFICATION NEEDED πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ Are you a volunteer who’s got some extra time for scouring the internet and verifying data, among other tasks? Send us a direct message! . Are you a member of a donor organization that has resources at hand and needs a direct contact to health care facilities and workers? Send us a direct message! . Do you have reliable information about health care facilities, front liners, and communities that need support? Send us a direct message! . . ABOUT OUR INITIATIVE: Project TANAW aims to support the existing projects/groups/donors mobilizing resources for the front liners of #COVIDPHresponse by providing REAL-TIME info about health care centers' NEEDS and SURPLUS donations. The response groups/teams can then strategically call for the right donations and/or redirect the oversupply in one center to another that needs it. Thanks to all who are doing their part to help our kababayan in need. πŸ’š#BangonPilipinas #bayanihan #ProjectTANAW
