Businesses engaged in internet transactions or electronic commerce (e-commerce), as defined under RA11967, can apply for the E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark. These include both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) entities, whether local or foreign entities availing of the Philippine market in the conduct of e-commerce, such as digital platforms, e-marketplaces, online merchants, and e-retailers.

Trustmark holders enjoy several incentives designed to promote responsible online business practices, among others, for online businesses, the Trustmark aims to:

To apply for the E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark, businesses must complete the online application form at https://trustmark.dti.gov.ph/ and submit the necessary supporting documents which include, but are not limited to, valid Business Name Registration Certificate from the DTI, SEC, or CDA and BIR Certificate of Registration (Form 2303) reflecting the registered business or tradename to be used by the holder.

The application or renewal fee for the E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark are based on tiered pricing as follows:
For Micro Enterprises (only DTI-registered BMBEs are covered) with total assets below P3,000,000.00, the application fee is waived, they will only have to pay for the Web Admin Fee and Documentary Stamp Tax amounting to a total of P130.00.
For Micro (Non-BMBE) and Small Enterprises with total assets of P3,000,001.00 up to ะ 15,000,000.00, they are entitled to a 50% discounted application fee of P500.00, plus the Web Administration Fee of P100.00 and Documentary Stamp Tax of P30.00, for a total amount payable of P630.00.
For Medium and Large Enterprises with total assets of more than P15,000,000.00 must pay for a full Trustmark fee of P1,130.00.
Other Fees: Renewal = 1,000.00; Amendment = P500.00; Reinstatement/Lifting = P500.00

The processing time begins upon submission of complete application. The verification process takes approximately seven (7) working days, after which the certificate is released upon confirmation of payment.

The E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark is valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance. To maintain its validity and benefits, renewal must be filed no later than thirty (30) calendar days before expiry but not earlier than three (3) months before the expiry.

The E-Commerce Philippine Trustmark will feature an official digital badge prescribed by the DTI and a unique fourteen-digit security number for verification.

Each Trustmark issued by the DTI includes a unique QR code that, when scanned, redirects consumers to the Trustmark Holder Information page. Through this page, consumers can verify the legitimacy of the Trustmark and view validated business details, including the store name, registration information, and the online platforms operated by the Trustmark holder.

If a business holding the Trustmark violates the rules or fails to comply with the standards, the DTI may impose a suspension or revocation of the Trustmark.
