LOOK|| In partnership with the Local Youth Development Office of Compostela and the Association of Youth Development Officers- Davao de Oro Inc., the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation of Compostela will be conducting a "𝟮-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗜𝗟𝗚 𝗠𝗰 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬-𝟭𝟯𝟴 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀" for SK & Local Youth Development Council members on 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 28- 29, 2022 at 𝘿𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝘽𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙩, 𝙈𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙞, 𝘿𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙤 𝙙𝙚 𝙊𝙧𝙤.

The activity aims to hone leadership abilities of Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation officials to better improve the quality service towards young people. Thus, it will serve as an avenue to capacitate new council representatives on the technical documentation of youth organizations compliant to the SK Reform Act of 2015.

Compostela YORP is a localized program of the LYDO that facilitates the registration of existing youth organizations and youth-serving organizations of the Municipality to ensure access and participation to MYDC-Compostela initiated programs, projects, and activities.

𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲:

2. Read and understand the YORP Guidelines and comply.
3. Submit Hard Copy of all listed requirements for registration.
4. LYDO shall facilitate the OFFICIAL registration to YORP-NYC.

𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆 | Hangad pa rin ang disenteng hanapbuhay at maunlad na ekonomiya, tayo sa National Youth Volunteers Coalition ay nakiki-isa sa pagdiriwang ng Pandaigdigang Araw ng mga Manggagawa.

Pagpupugay para sa ating mga manggagawa, lalo na sa ating mga frontline workers, delivery men at sa mga minimum wage workers na patuloy na nagiging matatag sa kabila ng nararanasang pandemya. Nawa’y maging makabuluhan ang araw na ito! Babangon at susulong tayo!! ✊🏼

ATONG IPADUNGOG ANG TINGOG SA MINDANAO!

Section 5 of the Republic Act 8044 - Youth in Nation-Building Act of 1995 states that the National Youth Commission shall be composed of officials including a Commissioner Representing Mindanao.

For almost four (4) years, the Mindanaoan Youth’s voice has not been represented in the commission after President Rodrigo Roa Duterte (PRRD) appointed former NYC Commissioner Earl Saavedra (from Basilan) as Deputy Executive Director of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) on January 2017.

Recently, PRRD appointed Ms. Alexa Danielle Dayanghirang, REB, MPA as the Commissioner Representing Mindanao in the National Youth Commission (NYC).

Comm. Alexa has a Masters Degree in Public Administration. She is also a Bachelor of Law student, a former Barangay Councilor in Davao City and the Chief of Staff of Philippine Councilors’ League President Hon. Danilo C. Dayanhirang.

In line with her appointment, the Mindanaoan Youth Development Center Inc., Salaam Movement of the Ateneo de Davao University, ASuL - Advocates for Sustainable Liguasan and the Youth For Peace Movement (TALBOS) will spearhead the conduct of : An Online Mindanaoan Youth Consultation on December 17 (Thursday) 2-5:30 PM via Zoom and Facebook Live.

This event will provide a platform for various Mindanaoan Youth organizations to have dialogue with Comm Alexa and be able to share their challenges and recommended interventions for NYC’s consideration.
