RECU3, Tarlac PECU INTENSIFIES PUBLIC SAFETY CAMPAIGN THROUGH COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of the Regional EOD and Canine Unit (RECU) 3 Tarlac PECU, conducted foot patrol, police presence and dialogue within the AOR to deter any possible acts of unlawful interference that may threaten the populace and guarantee the absolute safety of the general public.

This activity aims to strengthen community vigilance and ensure public safety through proactive information dissemination.

Personnel of Tarlac PECU led by PEMS Reginald L Niones, TL, together with PSSg Frederick Torio, PERC; PSSg Al Cristian Castillo, K9 Handler and PCpl Arby Sotto, K9 Handler, conducted Target Hardening Measures thru EOD paneling and K9 sniffing at Tarlac City Civic Center locate at Brgy. Baras Baras, Tarlac City, Tarlac. Said activity conduted as part of Security coverage for the Farmers and Fisherfolks Month Celebration. Said activity was conducted to preempt the occurrence of criminal/terrorist act/sabotage and to ensure public safety and security in line with the emerging threats.

San Isidro, Tarlac City, Tarlac, regarding the hazards of UXOs and ERWs that may be sold as scrap metal or rusted metal in their junk shop which when mishandled may explode and can cause damage to properties and loss of lives.

Personnel of Tarlac PECU led by PSMS Romer R Marzan, EOD Tech. and PSSg Al Cristian T Castillo, K9 Handler, under supervision of PEMS Reginald L Niones, PNCOIC conducted a lecture regarding Project A.B.K.D (Awareness of Bombs that Kill lives and Destroy Properties) to the 164 participants composed of Criminology students and teachers of USST United School of Science and Technology. The activity was held at Function Hall of USST located at Brgy. San Isidro, Tarlac City, Tarlac. This collaborative effort aimed to enhance the skills, knowledge, and readiness of the people in handling various security and investigative challenges. The activity was designed to raise participants awareness of bomb threat management and bomb identification, while also educating them on the gravity and seriousness of bomb threats, including their potential consequences and legal implications. Said activity was conducted to preempt the occurrence of criminal/terrorist act/sabotage and to ensure public safety and security in line with the emerging threat.
