MUNICIPALITY OF CONCEPCION CONDUCTS 3-DAY UPDATING OF THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN (CLUP)

The Municipality of Concepcion, Iloilo, through the Office of the Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC), successfully conducted a 3-Day Updating of the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) on August 10–12, 2026, at Damires Hills, Brgy. Damires, Janiuay, Iloilo.

The activity served as a venue for the review and assessment of the Municipality’s existing land use policies, development directions, and sectoral plans, with the aim of ensuring that the CLUP remains responsive to the current and emerging needs of the municipality and its communities.

Through a series of technical discussions, sectoral presentations, consultations, and collaborative planning sessions, participants contributed valuable inputs toward strengthening the Municipality’s framework for sustainable, inclusive, climate-resilient, and balanced development.

The updating of the CLUP underscores the commitment of the Local Government Unit of Concepcion to sound land use planning and responsible management of its resources, while promoting the welfare and quality of life of its constituents.

The Municipality likewise recognizes the valuable contributions of all participating offices, stakeholders, resource persons, and partners whose expertise and active participation contributed to the successful conduct of the activity.

The Local Government Unit of Concepcion proudly recognizes Trixia Anne "Super Tikya" Arellano for her outstanding achievement at the Palarong Pambansa 2026 held in Agusan del Sur.

In recognition of her remarkable performance, Trixia received ₱65,000.00 in incentives from the LGU. Her exceptional feat of winning four (4) gold medals and breaking the Elementary Girls' 200-meter dash record has brought immense pride and honor to the Municipality of Concepcion.

Recognizing an achiever in the field of Muay Thai, a student of Lo-ong National High School, Bensent John A. Dela Cruz, demonstrated his skills, discipline, and sportsmanship during the 2026 Regional Muaythai Championships- Visayas Leg held on June 2-5, 2026, Main Atrium, SM Bacolod, Bacolod City, Negros Island Region. Mr Dela Cruz was awarded as the gold medalist during the said event.

Recognizing the Champion!

After the flag ceremony, the LGU Concepcion recognizes the most bemedaled athlete with four (4) gold medals during the recently concluded Palarong Pambansa 2026 at Agusan Del Sur, May 24-29, 2026. Trixia Ann "Super Tikya" Arellano, a student from Concepcion Central School, have lifted the spirit of sportsmanship and true meaning of being a champion, gaining gold in 100m run, gold in 200m run, gold in 4x100m relay, and gold in 4x400m relay, she also broke the record in the Palaro 200m Dash Elementary Girls.

Trixia Anne Arellano of Region VI, proudly representing Concepcion, Iloilo, delivered the first gold medal for Iloilo in Athletics during the Palarong Pambansa after dominating the Elementary Girls’ 200-Meter Dash.

With remarkable speed, determination, and confidence, Arellano sprinted her way to victory, leaving her competitors behind as she crossed the finish line without looking back.
