CORCUERA POLICE EMPOWER 4Ps BENEFICIARIES THROUGH CRIME PREVENTION LECTURE

CORCUERA, ROMBLON β€” The Corcuera Municipal Police Station conducted a crime prevention awareness activity for selected 4Ps beneficiaries of Barangay Ambulong, Corcuera, Romblon, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen community participation in maintaining peace and order.

Led by PMSg Erlyn F Festin, PCR PNCO, personnel of the Corcuera MPS conducted a lecture focusing on Crime Prevention Strategies, providing the participants with practical knowledge and reminders on how they can help prevent criminal activities and contribute to a safer community.

The discussion emphasized the importance of vigilance, personal safety, awareness of one's surroundings, responsible reporting of suspicious activities, and active community participation in preventing crime. The participants were also encouraged to work closely with law enforcement authorities and other community stakeholders in addressing peace and order concerns.

The activity was conducted in line with the observance of the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week, bearing the theme β€œStrengthening Civilian Oversight and Collective Action for Safer Communities.” The theme underscores the vital role of civilian participation and collective action in building communities that are safe, peaceful, and resilient.

Following the lecture, PMSg Festin distributed food packs to the participants, providing additional assistance and demonstrating the Corcuera MPS's commitment not only to crime prevention but also to meaningful police-community engagement.

Through activities such as this, the Corcuera MPS continues to strengthen its partnership with the community by promoting awareness, encouraging active citizen participation, and fostering a culture of shared responsibility in maintaining peace, order, and public safety.
