PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

The Sangguniang Bayan of Cordon, through the Committee on Environment, Committee on Business, Trade, Market and Slaughterhouse, and Committee on Human Rights, Laws, Justice and Ethics, invites all interested stakeholders and members of the public to attend the Public Hearing on the proposed amendments to the Municipal Ordinance regulating the use of plastic cellophane, sando bags, and Styrofoam food and beverage containers.

The Sangguniang Bayan of Cordon has officially enacted a municipal ordinance establishing strict curfew hours for minors to strengthen public order, safety, and youth protection across all barangays

Magandang balita para sa ating mga Lolo at Lola sa Cordon!

Opisyal nang ipinasa ng Sangguniang Bayan ang isang ordinansa na nagbibigay-pahintulot sa paggawad ng Subsistence Allowance para sa mga kinikilalang opisyal ng Cordon, Isabela Federation of Senior Citizens.

Ang hakbang na ito ay patunay ng walang sawang pagkilala at suporta ng lokal na pamahalaan sa mahalagang papel ng ating mga nakatatanda sa komunidad. Kalusugan para sa lahat, abot-kamay na ng bawat Cordonian!
Isang mahalagang patakaran ang opisyal na ipinatutupad sa ating bayan upang palakasin ang primary health care sa pamamagitan ng YAKAP Program (Primary Care Benefit Package) na pinondohan ng PhilHealth.

Layunin ng patakarang ito na tiyakin na ang bawat mamamayan ng Cordon ay may access sa patas, abot-kaya, at de-kalidad na serbisyong medikal. Sa pamamagitan ng programang ito, mas inilalapit ng lokal na pamahalaan ang mga doktor, konsultasyon, at pangangalagang pangkalusugan sa bawat pamilya.

On June 15, 2026, the Sangguniang Bayan of Cordon successfully conducted its 47th Regular Session, during which various proposed ordinances, resolutions, and other legislative matters were discussed in support of environmental protection, public welfare, community development, and good governance.

Among the measures presented to the Sanggunian were proposals on the institutionalization of the annual observance of Arbor Day in the municipality, the temporary closure of selected roads for the celebration of the Araw ng Cordon and Mannalon Festival, and the establishment of a Migrant Advisory and Information Network (MAIN) Desk to strengthen support services for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

The Sanggunian likewise reviewed several barangay ordinances from Barangay Magsaysay concerning public health, environmental stewardship, and the promotion of peace and order within the community.

All proposed measures were subsequently referred to the appropriate committees for further study, consultation, and deliberation.

The Sangguniang Bayan remains committed to crafting responsive policies and programs that promote good governance and address the needs and aspirations of the people of Cordon.

The Sangguniang Bayan of Cordon approved an ordinance authorizing the temporary closure of one lane of San Andres Street, Barangay Quezon, in support of the celebration of the Annual Barangay Fiesta held from May 15โ€“23, 2026.

This legislative measure reflects the continued support of the Sangguniang Bayan for community activities that foster unity, cultural heritage, and public participation while ensuring order and public safety.

Noong Lunes, Hunyo 1, 2026, matagumpay na isinagawa ng Sangguniang Bayan ng Cordon ang ika-45 regular sesyon, kung saan tinalakay at pinagpasyahan ang ibaโ€™t ibang panukala, ordinansa, resolusyon, at iba pang mahahalagang usapin na may kaugnayan sa patuloy na pag-unlad at kapakanan ng mamamayan.

Kabilang sa mga naging aksyon ng kapulungan ang pag-apruba sa mga panukalang may kinalaman sa extension at training programs sa pakikipagtulungan sa Isabela State University (ISU), Municipal Farm-to-Market Road Network Plan (MFMRNP) 2023-2028, curfew ordinance para sa mga menor de edad, at iba pang hakbang na naglalayong mapaunlad ang serbisyo publiko at mapalakas ang mga programa ng lokal na pamahalaan.

Naaprubahan din ng Sanggunian ang mga kaukulang rekomendasyon at ulat ng komite, kabilang ang mga may kaugnayan sa renewable energy initiatives at mga programang pangkabataan. Samantala, ang ilang panukala ay ipinasa sa kaukulang komite para sa mas masusing pag-aaral at deliberasyon.
