State of the School Address 2025 – A Heartfelt Thank You!

On 28th of March, State of the School Address was conducted at the Malamote National High School Covered Hall led by Dr. Gay R. Lumapguid, school principal.

During the address, Dr. Lumapguid profoundly shared the accomplishments of the school, different clubs and organizations. He also highlighted the Parents-Teachers Association’s completed projects, programs and activities, and all of the evident improvements of the school that are achieved through collective and collaborative efforts of the school community.

Dr. Lumapguid also laid out the vision of the school for the future such as; Interventions and programs to improve literacy and numeracy skills of the students, Implementation of Child protection policy, Strengthening school- community linkages and partnership, On-going projects, programs and activities and, Focus on future endeavors of the school.

Our hearts full of gratitude to everyone who joined us for the concluded State of the School Address, especially the parents of our learners and the all out support of the Barangay LGU of Malamote headed by Brgy. Chairwoman Gomez Engco Cardoza. Your presence, engagement, and support truly reflect the strong spirit of our school community.

With your commitment and continued support to our school, we are confident in our journey ahead. Let’s grow even stronger and more united school community, together with our partners, as we leap to the next school year.

🌍💡 YES-O Earth Hour ‘25 Impact! 💡🌍

What an amazing time we had yesterday during the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization Earth Hour ’25 launching the Division-Wide Kawanihan at Kawayanihan: Bayanihan para sa Luntiang Paaralan! 🌱✨

Malamote National High School community came together to raise awareness about the importance of taking care of our environment, resources (water, energy, i.e) conservation and the fight against climate change.

As we join the SDO Cotabato we did the following with our school community spearheaded by our Science Teachers Sir Michael Bayog-ang and Sir Dennis M. Sonsona- YES-O Coordinator:

•We had an engaging discussion about sustainability and the environment 🌿
•Participated in the fruit trees planting activity 🌍
•Visit and check growing state of previously planted hard wood trees
•Intensifying Bring your Own Tumbler to minimize the use of single-plastic
•Hug a tree

Dream Big, Study Hard: Unlock your Profession with your Passion!

Malamote National High School students had the thrilling opportunity to explore various career paths and gain valuable insights, earlier today, as we conducted our Career Day Program.

An insightful Career Coaching Activity in partnership with Public Employment and Services Office Midsayap led by Atty. Ben Taib Pakil and accompanied by Ma’am Melrose Claire Rosete, RPsy, RPm provided students an engaging discussions and expert counseling.

The event aimed to inspire and guide students as they prepare for the next steps in their education and career journeys. They also shared essential information on career options, workplace readiness, and future opportunities.

It was an inspiring day filled with knowledge, motivation, and practical tips to help our learners shape their dreams and take the first steps toward their bright futures. Our applause to the students for wearing their best-chosen career and for cooperation in this annually event of the school. We wish you all pursue your dreams and thrive to make it a reality.

Our deepest appreciation to the guest speakers for rendering their time, expertise and for helping us making this event a success! Together, we’re helping our students realize the possibilities ahead and giving them the tools for them to shape their dreams.

Preparedness is key!🚨

Malamote National High School participated in the 2025 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill and Fire Prevention Month with a series of informative and hands-on activities for our students.

It’s important that we equip our learners with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergencies. From practicing earthquake safety procedures—instilling the Duck,Cover, Hold and Evacuate, to learning fire prevention tips, our learners were taught essential life-saving skills. By raising awareness and promoting preparedness, we’re not just keeping our school safe, we’re empowering our students to take action in any situation.

A big thank you to our partners— the Municipal Ldrrmo Midsayap led by Mr. Victorio Bedoya,Jr and Bfp Rxii Midsayap led by Fire Marshal FINSP ROLANDO T MARQUEZ for making these activities a success!

🧠💗 Empowering Students with Psychological First Aid and Mental Health Awareness!

We had an incredible and enriching activity for our learners today, focusing on the importance of mental health and how to support ourselves and those around us during challenging times. In a world where emotional well-being is just as crucial as physical health, it’s essential that we equip our students with the knowledge and tools to handle mental health challenges with confidence and empathy.

This activity provided valuable insights into recognizing signs of distress, understanding emotional reactions, being self aware and offering support in a safe and respectful manner. Our students learned how to manage stress, cope with difficult emotions, and reach out for help when needed—skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

Our salute and heartfelt gratitude to our amazing resource speaker Ma’am Jelly Rose Bajao Otayde, RN—our school nurse, for her dedication in helping us create a safe and supportive space for the learners.We truly appreciate your time and effort of sharing your valuable insights in shaping a healthier, more resilient students.

As we continue to nurture the minds of our young learners, it’s important to remember that mental health is a vital part of their overall development. By fostering an open, supportive environment where students feel comfortable discussing mental health, we can break down the stigma and build a healthier, more resilient generation.
