๐‚๐Ž๐“๐€๐๐€๐“๐Ž ๐‚๐ˆ๐“๐˜ โ€“ The Bangsamoro Darul-Iftaโ€™ (BDI), through its Community Fatwa Researcher, Ustadza Norhaya Usman, actively participated in the Presentation and Validation of Key Findings and Recommendations Generated from Stakeholder Consultations and Interviews on the Joint Peace and Security Teams (JPST) Policy Framework on Womenโ€™s Inclusion and the Recommendations to Enhance the JPST Pre-Deployment Training Curriculum, held on Safar 13โ€“17, 1448 AH | July 27โ€“31, 2026, in Cotabato City.

The five-day activity convened representatives from government agencies, development partners, civil society organizations, and other key stakeholders to validate the findings and recommendations generated through a series of stakeholder consultations and interviews.

Discussions focused on strengthening the JPST Policy Framework on Womenโ€™s Inclusion and enhancing the JPST Pre-Deployment Training Curriculum to ensure the effective integration of gender-responsive approaches into peace and security initiatives across the Bangsamoro.

The Bangsamoro Darul-Iftaโ€™ reaffirmed its support for the initiative, having actively participated in the consultations and workshops conducted in July 2025, which significantly contributed to the development of the Operational Guidelines of the Joint Peace and Security Teams (JPSTs) in Handling and Monitoring Gender Risks and Vulnerabilities, as well as the Exploratory Study on Womenโ€™s Inclusion in the JPST.
