The Cotabato City Task Force Baklas successfully participated in today’s Synchronized BARMM Regionwide Operation Baklas, conducted across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in connection with the 14 September 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

The Office of the City Election Officer – Cotabato City extends its appreciation to all members and partner agencies of the Cotabato City Task Force Baklas for their active participation, cooperation, and support in the successful conduct of the regionwide activity.

📢 SYNCHRONIZED REGIONWIDE OPERATION BAKLAS | AUGUST 12, 2026

The Cotabato City Task Force Baklas joins the synchronized Regionwide Operation Baklas across the entire BARMM on August 12, 2026, in connection with the September 14, 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

The operation aims to remove campaign propaganda posted in public places outside designated common poster areas, as well as other prohibited forms of campaign materials displayed in public places.

The public, candidates, political parties, and sectoral organizations are encouraged to cooperate and observe COMELEC rules on lawful election propaganda.

Together, let us help ensure a fair, orderly, peaceful, and credible election. 🇵🇭🗳️

Please be reminded to submit your List of Authorized Representatives and Watchers for the September 14, 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

📅 Deadline: August 30, 2026 (15 days before the day of Election)
📍 Submit to: Office of the Election Officer

Please ensure that all designated watchers meet the required qualifications and are properly assigned to their respective clustered precincts and polling places.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:
Barangay officials, employees, and barangay tanods cannot be appointed as watchers. Watchers are also NOT ALLOWED to assist voters.

TASK FORCE OPERATION BAKLAS CONDUCTED IN COTABATO CITY

Today, August 5, 2026, the Cotabato City Task Force Operation Baklas successfully conducted the removal of prohibited election campaign materials in public places, in accordance with COMELEC Resolution No. 11086, in preparation for the September 14, 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

The activity was led by Atty. Muamar A. Guyo, Acting City Election Officer of Cotabato City, together with the members of the Task Force composed of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Cotabato City, Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE), Office of the City Engineer, Office of the General Services, Cotabato City Police Office (CCPO), Marine Battalion Landing Team-6 (MBLT-6), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).

The operation aims to ensure compliance with election laws by removing prohibited campaign materials posted outside designated common poster areas, promoting a level playing field for all candidates and contributing to an orderly, peaceful, and fair electoral process.

The Office of the City Election Officer, Cotabato City, extends its sincere appreciation to all partner agencies for their invaluable support and cooperation in upholding the integrity of the electoral process.

In preparation for the 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, the 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 will conduct "𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙠𝙡𝙖𝙨" to remove prohibited election propaganda displayed in public places outside the designated common poster areas, 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟭𝟬𝟴𝟲. The Resolution mandates the removal of prohibited campaign materials and authorizes enforcement against campaign propaganda unlawfully posted in public places.

This initiative aims to promote a lawful, orderly, and fair election campaign by ensuring that only authorized campaign materials remain in their proper locations.
