June 30, 2026 | The Office of the Chief Minister – Support to Local Moral Governance (SLMG), led by Program Manager Engr. Amiril R. Enok, officially launched the construction of a Covered Court with Bleachers and Stage at Kutawato Darussalam College Inc. in Brgy. Bagua Mother, Cotabato City.
The groundbreaking ceremony marked the official commencement of a vital infrastructure project that aims to strengthen quality education, promote community development, support youth engagement, and foster inclusive growth within the community.
Sheikh Dr. Mahmod Ahmad, Director of Kutawato Darussalam College Inc., expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Office of the Chief Minister for selecting the institution as one of the beneficiaries of the infrastructure program. In his message, he emphasized that the facility represents far more than a physical structure—it stands as a lasting symbol of unity, collaboration, and a shared commitment to advancing education. He also paid tribute to the institution’s founders, whose sacrifices laid the foundation for the school, and encouraged teachers and students alike to value, protect, and preserve the covered court for future generations.
School Principal Rugaya Daud shared that both the institution and the surrounding community are deeply grateful for the opportunity provided by the Office of the Chief Minister. She expressed her immense pride in witnessing her former students return as accomplished professionals who are now contributing to the continued growth and development of their alma mater.
Meanwhile, Abdul Mohaymen Daud, Deputy Project Manager of Project SALAM under the Office of the Chief Minister and representative of the school’s founder, underscored the importance of protecting and maintaining the facility to ensure that it continues to benefit not only the present generation of students but also those in the years to come. He emphasized that the project must be implemented with quality and completed successfully to maximize its long-term impact.
Dr. Margany R. Gumander, President of Kutawato Darussalam College Inc., conveyed his sincere appreciation to Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua, M**F Amirul Mujahideen Alhaj Murad Ebrahim, and the leaders of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, the institution’s officials, faculty, and staff, he highlighted that the long-awaited covered court will significantly enhance the school’s capacity to serve its students and the wider community.
Mohammad Ali Pasigan, an alumnus and representative of the school’s founder, reflected on the institution’s humble beginnings during his years as a student from Kindergarten through High School. He proudly noted that the school has long been dedicated to educating the children of the Mujahideen and challenged the students to pursue academic excellence.
“Sikapin ninyong makapag-tapos para kayo naman ang susunod na magtuturo dito,” Pasigan said, expressing his hope that they would become the future leaders and nation-builders of the Bangsamoro.
The ceremony was attended by personnel from the SLMG Program Management Office (PMO), together with the school’s administrators, faculty members, staff, and students, all of whom witnessed the beginning of a project expected to leave a lasting legacy for the institution and the community.
