Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, the BFP BARMM Cotabato City Fire Station – Emergency Medical Services Unit conducted a 1 day Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Seminar and Colorfun Activity held at Notre Dame Village National High School Covered Court, Cotabato City.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) of Notre Dame Village National High School as part of PROJECT L.A.K.B.A.Y. (Leadership Advancement through Knowledge, Building Action, and Youth Empowerment), with the theme “Leadership with Purpose: Strengthening Character, Unity, and Responsibility.”

The EMS personnel provided a lecture on Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), equipping student participants with essential knowledge and life-saving skills in responding to medical emergencies.

The activity aims to promote emergency preparedness and empower the youth with the knowledge and confidence to provide immediate assistance when it matters most.

EMS RESPONSE | Vehicular Accident

Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, the BFP BARMM Cotabato City Fire Station – Emergency Medical Services Unit responded to a vehicular accident in front of Garahe Bistro, Sinsuat Avenue, Cotabato City, BARMM, involving a 26-year-old male patient.

Upon arrival, the EMS team immediately conducted an initial assessment and provided on-scene first aid. The patient was conscious and was noted to have multiple abrasions on both hands, right elbow, right knee, and both feet, with tenderness on the left chest. The wounds were cleaned and treated with antiseptic, and oxygen was administered via face mask at 5 LPM.

The patient was safely transported to Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC) for further evaluation and management and was properly endorsed to the receiving hospital staff.

EMS STANDBY | 35th BFP-BARMM Founding Anniversary

Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, the BFP BARMM Cotabato City Fire Station – Emergency Medical Services Unit deployed EMS personnel and an ambulance on standby during the 35th BFP-BARMM Founding Anniversary held at City Mall Convention Hall, Cotabato City, with the theme “Tatlong Dekada at Limang Taon ng Serbisyong Tapat at Maaasahan: BFP sa Bagong Pilipinas.” The EMS team also provided medical standby during the Arrival Honors of FCSUPT FRED L TRAJERAS JR., DSC at NDU Grounds, Cotabato City.

The EMS standby ensured immediate medical response capability for BFP personnel and officers throughout the activities.

The EMS team immediately conducted an assessment and provided on-scene first aid, including Splinting and Bandaging.

The patient was safely transported to Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC) for further evaluation and management and was properly endorsed to the receiving hospital staff.

Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, the BFP BARMM Cotabato City Fire Station – Emergency Medical Services Unit responded to a medical incident at Sunshine College Inc., Tamontaka 2, Cotabato City, during the school’s Foundation Day celebration.

BFP EMS, together with CDRRMO, MOH, HEMS, BPAT, CHO, PNP, and Cotabato Light, provided immediate medical assessment and assistance to affected individuals. One 19-year-old male patient was transported by BFP EMS to Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC) for further evaluation and management and was properly endorsed to the receiving hospital staff.

Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, the BFP BARMM Cotabato City Fire Station – Emergency Medical Services Unit, Shift A, responded to a medical transport request involving a 67-year-old male experiencing generalized body weakness and jaundice. The patient was found conscious and responsive, assessed by the EMS team, and provided oxygen therapy via face mask at 5 LPM.

The patient was safely transported to Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC) for further evaluation and appropriate medical management. He remained conscious and responsive throughout the transport, ensuring continuity of care until proper endorsement to the receiving medical team.

Under the leadership of FCINSP ATTY OMAR NASSEEF D BAKONG, CPA, City Fire Marshal, the BFP BARMM Cotabato City Fire Station – Emergency Medical Services Unit responded to a 64-year-old female who reportedly fainted while waiting in line for financial assistance at MSSD, RH5, Cotabato City. The patient was found conscious, pale, and experiencing generalized body weakness. She was assisted into the ambulance for further assessment, where her vital signs were monitored and appropriate medical intervention was provided.

Following improvement in her condition, the patient was advised to seek further medical evaluation but declined hospital transport. A signed waiver was secured in accordance with proper procedure, and the EMS team cleared the scene and returned to the unit.
