𝟮𝟴 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶' 𝗔𝗹-𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝟭𝟰𝟰𝟴 𝗔𝗛 | 𝟵 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: 𝗔 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀.

Today, the journey begins as the Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS), in collaboration with HB Production, successfully held its first Table Reading with the talented actors who will bring our advocacy scenes to a real-life scenario.

It was a room filled with passion and purpose; even though it was just reading the script, our actors have already given their voices to the powerful stories behind the scenes.

A huge thanks to our cast who poured their hearts into every scene. We can't wait to show what we’ve been working on!

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴

In preparation for the upcoming advocacy film, the GFPS Secretariat and GAD Staff met with HB Production to discuss the creative directions and preparations for the filming.

It was a productive exchange of ideas, focused on ensuring that the advocacy film will be delivered for the Bangsamoro Parliament as a safe venue where employees can move freely without fear of harassment.

The team is excited about this collaboration and looking forward to bringing this meaningful project to the Bangsamoro.

The Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) successfully held its 7th Regular Meeting on 7 October 2026 at Kulintang Hall, Bangsamoro Parliament Building, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.

The meeting focused on key updates and accomplishments, including preparations for the upcoming advocacy film, the 18th Day Campaign Ending VAW, and some other remaining activities for the last quarter of CY 2026, including the recently concluded Breast Cancer Awareness Information Session.

It was a productive discussion with clear directions from 𝗗𝗶𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠. 𝗔𝘆𝘂𝗯, 𝗘𝘅 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗙𝗣𝗦, who presided over the meeting. It was attended by its Executive Members and Technical Working Group (TWG), Secretariat, and GAD Staff.

Through this sustained coordination, the GFPS reaffirms its commitment to foster a gender-responsive and inclusive Bangsamoro Parliament

𝟮𝟲 𝗥𝗮𝗯𝗶' 𝗔𝗹-𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝟭𝟰𝟰𝟴 𝗔𝗛 | 𝟳 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

“𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀: 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻, 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗶”. BTA Parliament, through the Gender and Development Focal Point System, successfully held the Breast Cancer Awareness Information Session at Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex.

The half-day session empowered participants, women and men across different ages, religions, and offices, with life-saving knowledge on (a) What is Breast Cancer? Its signs, myths, and facts, (2) Self Breast Examination and Early Detection with demonstration, (3) and an Inspirational message from a warrior who fought for strength, hope, and courage. An expert medical practitioner and resident doctors from Cotabato Regional and Medica Center - Cancer Institute were invited to deliver the awareness session to BTA employees who attended, ready to be inspired and learn.

This activity reaffirms the strong commitment of the Bangsamoro Parliament to promote women’s health and early detection that can save lives.

STANDING TOGETHER FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

Assalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu!

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I stand with the Bangsamoro community in raising awareness, encouraging early detection, and extending our support to women and families whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

Breast cancer is more than a health concern. It is a journey that can bring fear, uncertainty, and challenges not only to those diagnosed, but also to their families and loved ones. This is why awareness, compassion, and support matter.

As a community guided by our Islamic values, let us embody rahmah (compassion) by standing beside those who are facing this difficult journey. Let us encourage one another to care for our health, seek timely medical attention, and never lose hope in the face of adversity.

Our faith teaches us tawakkul—to place our trust in Allah (SWT)—while doing our part and taking the necessary steps to protect the lives and well-being entrusted to us. In every trial, may we continue to uphold sabr, hope, and faith, knowing that no one should have to face hardship alone.

Let this month remind us that awareness can save lives, early detection can make a difference, and compassion can give hope.
Together, let us stand in solidarity with those affected by breast cancer and continue building a Bangsamoro community that cares, supports, and looks after one another.

May Allah (SWT) grant healing to those who are ill, strength to those who are fighting, comfort to their families, and blessings to all who extend compassion and support.
