In celebration of Family Planning Month, the RHU Malidegao recognizes Donaisa Y. Mama, RM, BSM for the successful completion of the Family Planning Competency-Based Training Level 2 (FPCBT 2).

As part of our services, RHU Malidegao continues to conduct counseling, provide health advice, and listen to the voices of the community. With Donaisa’s additional training, our team is better equipped to support families in making informed decisions, to promote healthier households, and to ensure that quality and respectful family planning services are accessible to all.

Her professional growth contributes to our shared goal of building a more responsive and capable health system for the people of Malidegao.

RHU Malidegao is committed to conducting counseling sessions, giving proper health advice, and ensuring that every voice in the community is heard. With Donaisa’s training, we move closer to our goal of empowering families with knowledge, choices, and support for a healthier future.

HEART & COURAGE IN ACTION: BARANGAY NUNGUAN UNITES TO SAVE LIVES

With humble hearts and strong resolve, Barangay Nunguan stood together with RHU Malidegao and the Cotabato Regional Medical Center team to bring the National Voluntary Blood Donation Services right to our own community. This meaningful work was guided by Punong Barangay Hon. Dulia D. Sultan, LPT, PhD.

At the heart of this effort were our brave and dedicated health team — Barangay Midwives Esmail Abdilla, RM and Sujarto Usman, RM, together with our trusted Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Barangay Nutrition Workers, and Barangay Peace and Order Team members. With confidence and care, they created a space where residents felt safe and welcomed, stepping forward with open hearts to give of themselves — knowing that each donation is a simple, powerful act of courage that gives someone else hope and a future.

Donating blood reminds us that great things begin when we stand together. No act is too small when done with kindness, and no effort is too much when we do it for one another. We may be humble in our ways, but our spirit is strong — and that strength shows most clearly when we reach out to help those we may never meet, yet whose lives we hold in our hands. By bringing this service to our own barangay, we showed that life-saving care is not just something we hope for — it is something we make happen, together.

With deep gratitude and quiet pride, we honor every donor who bravely gave, every team member who faithfully served, and every partner who stood beside us. We move forward with confidence — knowing that when we walk humbly and serve boldly, there is no limit to the good we can do.

EQUIPPED TO SERVE YOUTH: JOB AID 2.0 SKILLS ENHANCEMENT TRAINING COMPLETED

RHU Malidegao continues to deepen its commitment to youth health care as Ruby Kristine E. Maliao, RM, BSM successfully completed the Adolescent Job Aid 2.0 Skills Enhancement Training held in Cotabato City. This learning opportunity sharpens essential competencies in delivering responsive, age-appropriate care and guidance to adolescents — ensuring that every young person receives health services that truly understand and meet their needs.

The training covered updated approaches and practical tools designed to strengthen how we engage, assess, support, and guide the youth in our communities. Backed by these enhanced skills, our team stands better positioned to create safe, welcoming spaces where adolescents feel heard, valued, and empowered to make healthy choices for themselves. This strengthens our whole RHU capability to reach out-of-school youth and school-based adolescents alike with care that is timely, relevant, and compassionate.

We move forward with greater readiness to uplift the next generation — one young life at a time.

The Medical Mission and PhilHealth Caravan in Barangay Gokotan, in collaboration with RHU Malidegao and the BLGU Gokotan,was successfully conducted to make essential health services accessible to the constituents.

The activity was made possible through the strong support of Punong Barangay Hon. Jimmy Kusain and the BLGU Gokotan. The RHU Malidegao Team, together with the dedicated BHWs, BNS, and BPATs, facilitated the mobilization, registration, and smooth delivery of services.

In partnership with the Ministry of Health - BARMM, Deseret Ambulatory Hospital Inc., and Deseret Surgimed Hospital, the medical team provided free medical consultation, free medicines, laboratory, x-ray, and referrals to patients in need.

The PhilHealth Caravan was also conducted to assist residents with free PhilHealth registration and member concerns, ensuring that more families in Gokotan are covered and can access health benefits.

Hundreds of constituents from Barangay Gokotan availed of the services. Patients were screened, treated, and given appropriate health education. Those needing further management were properly referred to higher facilities.

The success of this medical mission reflects the spirit of bayanihan and partnership between the local government, health agencies, and private hospitals. It also highlights the commitment of RHU Malidegao and BLGU Gokotan to promote accessible and quality healthcare in the community.
