Key officials of the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) gathered for a three-day workshop on the updating of the Bangsamoro Development Investment Program (BDIP) and preparation of the 2028 Annual Investment Program (AIP), held Sept. 1-3, 2026 at Haraya Hall, Alnor Hotel in Cotabato City.

Bureau heads, division chiefs, and planning focal persons reviewed the prescribed guidelines, processes, timelines, and documentary requirements to ensure a consistent approach in preparing the ministry’s planning and reporting documents.

Special Concerns Consultant Carlito Coloso provided the direction-setting on behalf of MOLE Minister Muslimin “Bapa Mus” Sema, noting the need for well-coordinated planning in translating the ministry’s priorities into more responsive initiatives for the Bangsamoro.

Facilitated by MOLE’s Research, Planning and Policy Development Services (RPPDS) under Officer-in-Charge Director Engr. Dimaporo Diocolano, the workshop also featured the presentation of proposed Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) from the different bureaus and divisions.

Panel discussions that followed provided an opportunity to clarify proposals and refine submissions toward more accurate and cohesive investment programming for the ministry.

Two former employees of a local manpower agency, both of whom had rendered nine years of service, successfully secured their final pay after raising their concerns with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE).

The settlement was reached on September 2, 2026 at the MOLE Regional Office in Cotabato City, through the Single Entry Approach (SEnA) under the Labor Case Management Program (LCMP) of MOLE’s Bureau of Labor Relations and Standards (BLRS).

The initiative provides workers and employers an accessible avenue to settle labor concerns through dialogue and conciliation.

A day of friendly competition marked the MOLE-GAD Health and Wellness Pickleball Cup 2026 held on August 20, at 8Z Pickleball Court along De Mazenod Avenue, Cotabato City.

With pickleball gaining popularity as one of today’s emerging recreational sports, the tournament offered MOLE employees a chance to try their skills on the court while building camaraderie and promoting work-life balance.

MOLE Minister Muslimin “Bapa Mus” Sema formally opened the tournament with a ceremonial first serve, joined by Chief of Staff Hazel Rae Sema and Bangsamoro Director General Surab Abutazil, Jr.

The games were divided into men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles categories as organized by the Ministry’s Gender and Development-Focal Point System (GAD-FPS) under Senior Labor and Employment Officer Jennifer Nur.

The games ended with more than winners and scores as employees shared a chance to unwind, enjoy the sport, and spend time with colleagues as one MOLE family.
