๐๐ข๐ข๐ | The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) recently conducted a joint area visit in the Municipality of Upi, Maguindanao, on July 21, 2026, to the Nangi IPs Backyard Poultry Raising Producers Cooperative, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), headed by the Section Chief of Livestock & Poultry Management, Saban B. Belongan.
The visit aimed to assess the cooperativeโs current situation and discuss possible interventions and support that MAFAR can provide to further enhance their backyard poultry enterprise.
During the visit, Belongan expressed their commitment to support the association by providing 50 heads of chicken, a pelletizer, hog wire, and net fencing, subject to the agencyโs guidelines and implementation processes. These interventions are expected to enhance the cooperativeโs production capacity, improve farm management, and contribute to the sustainability of their livelihood project.
This collaborative effort reflects our shared commitment to empowering local communities, improving livelihood opportunities, and promoting sustainable agricultural development. Through strong partnerships and continuous support, we strive to help community-based organizations grow, become more resilient, and achieve long-term success.
