In preparation for the establishment of the 50 Housing Units in the Municipality of Datu Anggal Midtimbang, a site inspection and cleaning operation was successfully conducted under the leadership of LMP President, Mayor Datu Nathaneil S. Midtimbang together with the municipal officials and concerned offices.

This initiative reflects the municipality’s continuing commitment to provide safe, decent, and sustainable housing for the community. Through unity and cooperation, Datu Anggal Midtimbang moves forward toward inclusive development and better living opportunities for its constituents.

πŸ“Έ IN PHOTOS: Presidential Peace Adviser MEL SENEN SARMIENTO participated in the Talayan-Datu Anggal Midtimbang-Guindulungan-Datu Hoffer-Datu Piang (TAGDHAP) Master Planning Workshop held on May 7 in Davao City.

The planning workshop aimed to strengthen and empower local leaders in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) as champions of peace, development and good governance.

The workshop is among the key activities under Project Weave, a joint initiative of The Asia Foundation and Galing Pook Foundation with support from the Australian Government, that seeks to build up the capacity and strengthen the resilience of LGUs in the Bangsamoro.

Sarmiento also held a separate meeting with the mayors of TAGDHAP wherein the local chief executives presented key development initiatives that they are currently undertaking, as well as the implementation challenges they are facing.

β€œI am happy to note that some LGUs are undertaking land banking initiatives in support of housing projects for former combatants, particularly in areas located within the poblacion of towns,” he said.

The peace adviser emphasized that β€œsynergy is the key,” as LGUs will be the ones to decide and carry out interventions that will improve the socioeconomic well-being of their people.

Barangay Chairman Kagi Bayan H. Salih ng Barangay Tulunan, Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Maguindanao del Sur.

His passing has come a great shock and has left the community in deep grief. He was known for his simplicity, and sincere service to his people.

May Allah grant him Jannat-ul-Firdous, forgive his sins, and give patience and strength to his bereaved family and loved ones.
