LOOK | AFPSLAI Donates Brush Cutter to 6MRBn

The 6th Marine Rifle Battalion (6MRBn) formally received brush cutter from the Armed Forces and Police Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (AFPSLAI) during a turnover ceremony held at Headquarters 6MRBn on 21 May 2026.

The donated equipment will support the battalion’s maintenance and environmental management efforts.

COL DARWIN B DE LUNA PN(M)(MNSA), Acting Commanding Officer of 6MRBn, expressed his sincere gratitude to AFPSLAI for its continued support and partnership. He emphasized that collaborative efforts between stakeholders greatly contribute to the battalion’s operational efficiency and overall mission readiness.

LOOK | 6th Marine Rifle Battalion Conducts Reception Rites for Newly Assigned Officers

The 6th Marine Rifle Battalion conducted Reception Rites for the newly assigned Battalion Executive Officer (EXO) and newly reported Second Lieutenants (2LTs) on 16 May 2026, marking their formal integration into the battalion and reaffirming the unit’s tradition of discipline, resilience, and commitment to service.

As part of the reception rites, the newly assigned EXO and 2LTs underwent a grueling 21-kilometer run while carrying full combat gear. The activity tested their physical endurance, mental toughness, and leadership under strenuous conditions, symbolizing their readiness to serve and lead Marines in operational environments.

Following the completion of the activity, the officers were formally welcome through a traditional Handshake spearheaded by COL DARWIN B DE LUNA PN(M)(MNSA), Acting Commanding Officer, 6MRBn with the battalion’s officers and Enlisted personnel.

The 6th Marine Rifle Battalion (6MRBn) conducted the Blessing of its Vehicles spearheaded by MGEN VICENTE MAP BLANCO III PN(M), Commandant Philippine Marine Corps at H6MRBn on 06 May 2026.

The blessing ceremony was officiated by Fr. Simeon Samson, DCC, OLHR Parish invoking guidance and protection for both personnel and equipment as they carry out their duties in service to the nation.

LOOK | 6MRBn Improves Operational Systems Through Equipment Turnover

The 6th Marine Rifle Battalion (6MRBn) formally received three (3) computer sets and electrical wirings from Cotabato Light and Power Company (COLIGHT) during a turnover ceremony at H6MRBn on 29 April 2026.

The computer sets will be utilized in support of the battalion’s operational and administrative requirements, particularly in enhancing command and control, data management, and communication processes. Meanwhile, the electrical wirings will be used for the improvement and maintenance of existing electrical lines within the battalion area.

COL DARWIN DE LUNA PN(M)(MNSA), the Acting Commanding Officer of 6MRBn expressed his appreciation to Cotabato Light and Power Company for its continued support, underscoring the significance of collaborative efforts between stakeholders in enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness.

LOOK | Service Beyond Security: 6MRBn joins Barangay Caravan in Tamontaka V

The 6th Marine Rifle Battalion (6MRBn), through the 26th Marine Rifle Company, actively participated in the KCC Barangay Caravan on 25 April 2026 at Brgy. Tamontaka V, Cotabato City, in partnership with Cotabato Regional Medical Center and the 6th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, Philippine Army.

The activity featured a medical mission providing basic healthcare services and consultations, free dental check-ups, free haircuts, and a feeding program. Recreational games were also conducted to promote morale and positive community engagement, particularly among local residents.

The participation of 6MRBn highlights its continued commitment to socio-civic initiatives while maintaining operational readiness under the Fit-Lethal-Rapid Mindset. The activity further strengthened collaboration among the military, LGU, and partner organizations, fostering public trust and support within the area of operations.
