WATER SERVICE ADVISORY

What: Temporary Water Service Interruption (Low Pressure)

When: August 13 to 21, 2026

Why: Relocation of 4ӯ Steel pipe line at the boundary of Brgys. Tamontaka 2 and Tamontaka 3, Cotabato City. This is due to the steel bridge construction by the MPW.

Where (Area/s Affected):
Brgys.Tamontaka 3, Tamontaka 4, and Tamontaka 5, Cotabato City.

Ipinapaalam ng MCWD na magkakaroon ng pipe relocation sa area na nabanggit. Dahil dito ay kinakailangang magsara ng valves upang ito ay maisagawa.

Sisikapin ng MCWD Engineering Team na matapos kaagad ang nasabing pipe relocation.

Ang lahat ay hinihikayat na mag imbak ng tubig upang may magamit sa panahong tulad nito.

EMERGENCY WATER SERVICE ADVISORY

What: Temporary Water Service Interruption (Low Water Pressure to No Water)

When: August 10, 2026, Monday from 1:30PM onwards

Why: Emergency shutdown of Macaguiling Bulk Water Supply Plant (owned and operated by Mactan Rock/TGV Builders) to clean the debris from the Simuay River at the collector pipe, brought about by the continuous flooding.

Where (Area/s Affected):
Sultan Kudarat area: Macaguiling, Salimbao, Dalumangcob, Bulalo, Calzada, Banubo, and Gang.

Cotabato City are: College, Kalanganan MB (Bucana), Town, Bagua, Lugay-Lugay, Dapdap, Tukananes, and Datu Siang.

Ipinapaalam ng MCWD na nag-emergency shutdown ang nabanggit na planta. Sisikapin ng Mactan Rock/TGV Builders na maibalik kaagad sa normal ang operation nito.

Ang lahat ay hinihikayat na mag-imbak ng tubig upang may magamit sa mga panahong tulad nito.

WATER SERVICE ADVISORY

Dahil sa pagpasok ng Bagyong “Maymay” at ng Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) sa Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), inaasahang magdadala ito ng malalakas na pag-ulan sa ating lugar.

Dahil dito, may posibilidad ng landslides, flash floods, at pansamantalang water interruptions bunsod ng mataas na turbidity o paglabo ng tubig sa ating mga pinagkukunan ng tubig (river sources).

Kaugnay nito, pinapayuhan ang lahat na maging mapagmatyag, mag-ingat, at maging handa sa anumang sitwasyong maaaring idulot ng bagyong ito.

Hinihikayat din ang lahat ng ating mga concessionaire na mag-imbak ng sapat na suplay ng tubig bilang paghahanda sakaling magkaroon ng biglaang pagkaantala ng serbisyo ng tubig.

The Metro Cotabato Water District (MCWD) reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a drug-free workplace through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM) on July 28, 2026.

The agreement was signed by MCWD General Manager Ma. Melinda Elaine V. Barcimo and PDEA-BARMM Regional Director Edgar T. Jubay, signifying the two agencies' shared commitment to strengthening workplace drug prevention initiatives and promoting a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.

The partnership is expected to enhance the implementation of drug prevention programs, employee education and awareness campaigns, and other collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring a drug-free workplace in accordance with national policies and standards.

WATER SERVICE ADVISORY

Update on the Water Situation of MCWD Water Sources

As of 12:00 noon today, the Dimapatoy Pumping Station, located at Sitio Lomboy, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, is already operating at four (4) pumps after water quality in its water source, the Dimapatoy River, has stabilized to normal levels.

Meanwhile, the rest of the pumping stations and bulk water suppliers have remained operational:

* Tanuel Pumping Station (Spring Source)
* DATEM Infrastructure Bulk Water Plant (Tamontaka River)
* Biniruan Bulk Water Plant (Biniruan River)
* Macaguiling Bulk Water Plant ( Simuay River)
* Macaguiling Pumping Station No. 1 (Deepwell)
* Rebuken Pumping Station (Deepwell)

While water production has improved with the resumption of the Dimapatoy Pumping Station and Macaguiling Bulk Water Plant we encourage the public to continue storing water whenever supply is available. We also advise everyone to utilize collected rainwater, whenever appropriate, to help augment their water needs during this temporary disruption.

MCWD continues to closely monitor the conditions of its water sources and will provide timely updates as the situation develops.
