The Sexually Healthy And Personally Empowered Adolescents (SHAPE-A) Program was successfully conducted by the Population Section-OCSWDO on the afternoon of May 12-14, 2026 (AM &PM schedules) at the Barangays such as Barangay Poblacion Mother, 2, 4, 8, and 9; Barangay Rosary Heights Mother, 1, 2, 5, 8, and 12;
Barangay Tamontaka 1, Tamontaka 2, Tamontaka 3, and Tamontaka 5, bringing together male and female adolescents ages 13-17 in one united and engaging activity.

Through interactive discussions, group sharing, and participative activities, the youth were given the opportunity to express their ideas and deepen their understanding of important topics such as the advantages and disadvantages of social media among youth, adolescent reproductive health, and strengthening parent-child relationships - all anchored with the essence of Gender and Development (GAD).

The activity encouraged the participants to become more responsible, informed, respectful, and empowered individuals who value healthy relationships, proper decision-making, and gender sensitivity within their families and communities. Indeed, the program served as a safe space where adolescents were heard, educated, and inspired to become catalysts of positive change. 💚✨

The Population Section of Office of City Social Welfare and Development Officer- Cotabato City have successfully conducted the two (2) days Barangay Population Workers' Enhancement Training this September 15-16, 2025 at Elcomedor resto, Cotabato City.
The the purpose of the training is to enhance the skills and capabalities of our barangay population workers interms of their duties and responsibilities to promote the advocacy in Reproductive health and family planning programs and also to enhance their skills interms of updating thier yearly Barangay spot mapping and census for their yealry population rate status.
During the activity, our guest speakers also tackled the topics such as the Stress Debriefing, Anti-bullying act of 2013 (RA 10627), and Anti-bastos Law/ safe space act (RA 11313).

The City Population Section of Office On City Social Welfare and Development Officer had conducted a 3 day U4U Enhancement Facilitators Training last July 22, 23, and 24, 2025 at Elcomedor Restaurant. The training has been successfully conducted by the City Population Staffs lead by Administrative Officer 4, Ms. Carmen H. Coloso, RN. This Facilitators Training was attended by 40 Junior High School Students and 4 faculty staffs.

During the 3-Day U4U Facilitators Training, the participants have expressed their interest to learn and improve their skills interms of how to become effective Youth Facilitators by sharing each of their thier talents, skills, personalities and willingness to learn. The objective of U4U Facilitators Training is not only limited on improving the participants Facilitation skills, but mostly providing Awareness about different Child Rightts such as RA 11596 (Anti Early Marriage Law), and also how to handle and prevent different THREATS AND RISKS that our Adolescents' commonly facing in our soceity such as Early Pregnancy, Abortion, Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV/AIDS, Impact of Social Media to our Adolescents, Child Trafficking and many more.
