The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology โ Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao commemorated the 35th Anniversary of the BJMP on August 31, 2026, at Alnor Convention Hall 1, Cotabato City, bringing together BJMP personnel, partner agencies, stakeholders, and friends of the Bureau in a celebration of service, dedication, and shared accomplishments. The celebration was led by Officer-in-Charge of the Jail Bureau BARMM, JSSUPT EMERSON P AMANDY, whose leadership continues to steer the Regional Office in advancing the Bureauโs mandate and upholding its commitment to professional, responsive, and humane jail management. The occasion likewise provided an opportunity to look back on three and a half decades of public service, celebrate the milestones achieved through the years, and recognize the personnel and partners whose dedication, cooperation, and continued support have contributed to the successful implementation of the Bureauโs programs and initiatives.
Adding significance to the celebration was the presence of JDIR EFREN A NEMEรO, DPA, TLPE, Guest of Honor and Speaker, represented by JCSUPT HILBERT M FLOR, MPSA, Director for Operations, who delivered a meaningful message emphasizing the importance of dedication, professionalism, and sustained commitment to the Bureauโs mandate.
The celebration also recognized the achievements and dedication of deserving personnel, alongside the invaluable contributions of partner stakeholders whose continued support and collaboration have played an important role in advancing the BJMPโs programs and services.
Beyond commemorating 35 years, the occasion served as a tribute to the people who have carried the BJMPโs mission through the years and to the partnerships that continue to strengthen its efforts toward safer communities and a more responsive, professional, and humane jail service.
