The Office for Settler Communities (OSC), under the leadership of MP Dr. Susana Salvador Anayatin, Member of the Bangsamoro Parliament and Executive Director of OSC, conducted a Settlers’ Rights and Voters’ Awareness Forum on June 2, 2026 at Barangay Milaya, Wao, Lanao del Sur.

The forum aimed to enhance participants’ awareness of settlers’ rights and responsibilities, while promoting informed and responsible participation in the electoral process, particularly in preparation for the upcoming BARMM Parliamentary Elections.

The activity was attended by active participants from various sectors, including women, youth, senior citizens, and farmers, with the support and participation of barangay officials.

Through initiatives such as this, OSC continues to empower settler communities by promoting awareness, civic engagement, and meaningful participation in governance across the Bangsamoro.

The Office for Settler Communities (OSC), under the leadership of MP Dr. Susana Salvador Anayatin, Member of the Bangsamoro Parliament and Executive Director of OSC, conducted a Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Training for livelihood beneficiaries from Cotabato City and Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte on June 2, 2026 at the Archbishop Mongeau Center, Cotabato City.

Conducted in partnership with the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Tourism (MTIT-BARMM), the activity aimed to equip beneficiaries with essential knowledge and skills on financial management, budgeting, savings, and entrepreneurship to help strengthen their livelihood initiatives and improve their economic opportunities. The training featured resource speakers Ms. Catalina Icalina and Ms. Rohanisa Malawad of MTIT.

A total of thirty-five (35) beneficiaries participated in the training, including twenty-five (25) participants from Cotabato City and ten (10) participants from Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.

Through capacity-building activities such as this, OSC continues to empower settler communities by promoting financial responsibility, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihood development across the Bangsamoro.

The Office for Settler Communities (OSC), under the leadership of MP Dr. Susana Salvador Anayatin, Member of the Bangsamoro Parliament and Executive Director of OSC, joins the Bangsamoro Information and Communications Technology Office (BICTO) in celebrating ICT Month 2026 with the theme, β€œBuilding a Resilient and Inclusive Digital Region.”

This celebration highlights the importance of information and communications technology in strengthening governance, improving public service delivery, promoting digital inclusion, and creating opportunities for communities across the Bangsamoro Region.

The BTA Office of MP Anayatin and OSC express their support for the initiatives spearheaded by BICTO in advancing digital transformation and fostering a resilient, connected, and inclusive Bangsamoro for all.

The Office for Settler Communities (OSC), under the leadership of MP Dr. Susana Salvador Anayatin, Member of the Bangsamoro Parliament and Executive Director of OSC, conducted its regular Monday Morning Ceremony on June 1, 2026 at the OSC Office, CNX II Building, Rosary Heights 8, Cotabato City.

The activity included the recitation of prayers, singing of the Philippine National Anthem and Bangsamoro Hymn, Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, and Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno, reaffirming the office’s commitment to unity, discipline, and dedicated public service.

As the month of June begins, OSC personnel renewed their commitment to delivering responsive and meaningful services to settler communities across the Bangsamoro while upholding the values of integrity, accountability, and excellence in public service. The regular Monday Morning Ceremony also serves as an opportunity to strengthen camaraderie, reflect on the office’s mission, and prepare for the responsibilities and activities ahead.

As part of its support for the activity, OSC provided a total of 1,100 food packs for participating youth, volunteers, and community members, while the BTA Office of MP Anayatin distributed rosaries and prayer booklets to support the spiritual and values formation of settler youth.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of OSC and the BTA Office of MP Anayatin to supporting programs that strengthen faith, values, and leadership among the youth in our communities.

The Office for Settler Communities (OSC), under the leadership of MP Dr. Susana Salvador Anayatin, Member of the Bangsamoro Parliament and Executive Director of OSC, in partnership with the Legal Network for Truthful Elections (LENTE), successfully conducted another activity of the Orientation on Settlers’ Rights Program on May 21, 2026 at Barangay Ubit, Lamitan City, Basilan.

The activity provided participants with discussions on settlers’ rights, fairness, and civic awareness facilitated by OSC Community Development Officer Lorifel Benitez Tura. Discussions on responsible participation and the right to vote in the upcoming first BARMM Parliamentary Elections were also shared by Sir Khaled Lutian of LENTE.

The orientation was conducted with the support and participation of the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Barangay Ubit, together with representatives from the City Planning Office and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD).

Through continuous community-based orientations, OSC remains committed to strengthening awareness and empowering settler communities across the Bangsamoro Region.
