𝗠𝗔𝗣𝗨𝗡, 𝗧𝗔𝗪𝗜-𝗧𝗔𝗪𝗜 | The 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (BPMA)–𝗠𝗔𝗣𝗨𝗡 successfully provided food and drinking water assistance to stranded passengers after their vessel encountered a mechanical problem caused by a broken propeller, making it unsafe to continue the voyage.

In coordination with the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 – 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘄𝗶-𝗧𝗮𝘄𝗶, responding personnel immediately acted on the distress situation and safely transported the affected passengers to the Port of Mapun.

The swift response highlights the continued commitment of BPMA and its partner agencies in ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of sea travelers within the Bangsamoro region.

𝗕𝗣𝗠𝗔 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗱-𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝗝𝗧 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀

The 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗢 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 (BPMA) recently conducted a simple yet meaningful Recognition and Send-Off Program in honor of its 𝗢𝗡-𝗧𝗛𝗘-𝗝𝗢𝗕 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 (𝗢𝗝𝗧) 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 assigned to the agency.

The activity was held to formally recognize the dedication, hard work, and valuable contributions of the student trainees during their internship period. Throughout their immersion, the OJT completers gained practical experience in port operations and public service while further developing their technical skills, discipline, and professional competence.

The program also underscored BPMA’s continued commitment, under the guidance and support of the 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 - 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠, to provide meaningful learning opportunities that bridge academic knowledge with actual workplace experience.

BPMA extends its appreciation to the student trainees from 𝗖𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬 for their active participation and meaningful contributions during their deployment at the agency.

𝗝𝗢𝗟𝗢, 𝗦𝘂𝗹𝘂 | The Port Management Office (PMO) Jolo under the 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗢 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 participated in the Coastal Clean-Up Drive spearheaded by the 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗘𝗡𝗩𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧, 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗖𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗚𝗬 - 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠 (MENRE).

The activity brought together government agencies, volunteers, and community stakeholders in a united effort to protect and preserve the coastal environment of Jolo. Through collective action and environmental responsibility, the initiative highlighted the importance of maintaining clean and sustainable shorelines for future generations.

The 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗢 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 (BPMA) served as the venue host for the Ceremonial Turn-Over of two (2) patrol/rescue boats intended for the 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗧 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠 – Coast Guard Stations Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur, held on May 20, 2026, at the BPMA premises in Cotabato City.

The activity was spearheaded by the 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗖 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 (MPOS), with support from the Office of 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗬. 𝗦𝗨𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗢 𝗧. 𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗗𝗧𝗢 through the 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗧 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗 (TDIF), in support of initiatives aimed at enhancing maritime safety, emergency response operations, and public service delivery in the Bangsamoro Region.

BPMA likewise conveys its appreciation to 𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗭𝗜𝗘 𝗚. 𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗛𝗨𝗗 and 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗘𝗙 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗕𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗥𝗔𝗢𝗙 𝗔. 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗔𝗖𝗨𝗔 for their continued guidance and support in advancing programs and initiatives that strengthen the region’s maritime and public safety capabilities.

𝗖𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬 | 19 May 2026 — The 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (BPMA) headed by 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝟭 - 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗶 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗠. 𝗔𝗯𝗼 and 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝟭 𝗡𝗮𝗷𝗺𝗮𝗵 𝗖. 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗴-𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝗝𝗗 of the 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (BMARINA) conducted a high-level coordination meeting to discuss upcoming maritime initiatives aimed at strengthening connectivity and revitalizing economic activities within Lake Lanao.

The meeting focused on the opening of commercial water routes, validation of navigational pathways, registration of vessels, and the conduct of coordination meetings with Local Government Units (LGUs) and maritime stakeholders across Lanao del Sur.

During the meeting, both agencies discussed key initiatives aimed at enhancing maritime connectivity and improving economic activities within Lake Lanao. Discussions centered on the opening of strategic commercial water routes to improve mobility and facilitate local trade among lakeside communities. The agencies likewise emphasized the conduct of technical route validations to ensure navigational safety, operational viability, and efficient water transport operations within the area.

In addition, the meeting tackled the streamlining of vessel registration and documentation processes to promote compliance with maritime safety regulations. Plans for stronger collaboration with LGUs and maritime stakeholders were also emphasized through the conduct of consultation forums to ensure inclusive, community-based, and sustainable implementation of the program.

Both sectors expressed their commitment to work closely with local chief executives and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the initiative. The program is expected to enhance regional connectivity, promote maritime safety, and support sustainable economic growth within the Bangsamoro Region.

LANAO DEL SUR — On May 12–13, 2026, the 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (BPMA), under the leadership of 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝟭 - 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗶 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗠. 𝗔𝗯𝗼, and with the continued support of 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗠𝗠 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗿𝗮𝗼𝗳 𝗔. 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗮 and 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗲 𝗚. The inspection team visited the 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘂 𝗟𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 and assessed ongoing developments in the lakeports of 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲, 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻, and 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗱-𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗶.

These projects form part of BPMA’s continuing efforts to modernize the Bangsamoro region’s maritime infrastructure, strengthen regional connectivity, and promote economic growth for lakeside and coastal communities — toward building a 𝗠𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴 𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼.

Through regular monitoring and onsite evaluations, BPMA remains committed to delivering quality port facilities that will serve as catalysts for trade, mobility, and sustainable regional development.

𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 and , the delegation from the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 joined representatives from the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, including 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗕. 𝗦𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲 and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗿 𝗕. 𝗡𝗼𝗴𝗮𝘀, Acting General Manager of the Iligan/Lanao del Norte Port Management Office, during the formal turnover of the newly completed Marawi Port Facilities under the 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶 𝗥𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (MRRP) to the 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗢 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬.

The ceremonial turnover and joint inspection marked the official transfer of ownership, management, and operational responsibility of the port facilities to BPMA, signifying readiness for full integration into the Bangsamoro Government’s regional transportation and logistics network.

A comprehensive inspection conducted by representatives from both agencies confirmed that the completed infrastructures comply with national engineering standards, maritime regulations, and operational safety requirements, ensuring safe and reliable port operations for the community and stakeholders.

The newly developed facility is expected to play a vital role in restoring and strengthening maritime connectivity and economic activity within Lanao del Sur and neighboring areas. As a strategic transportation gateway, the port will support the efficient movement of goods, services, and essential commodities while contributing to regional trade, investment opportunities, and inclusive economic growth.

The activity also highlighted the strong collaboration among agencies under the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, including the 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱, and the 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗢 𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗔𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 is honored to join 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗿. of the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶 𝗥𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and the National Director of Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources in a productive and meaningful discussion on the implementation and advancement of the BBM-AID Project at the Port of Marawi and across Lanao del Sur.

Present during the meeting were Mr. Jalaine D. Sampaco Jr. and Mr. Najeb R. Mantar of the BPMA under the leadership of 𝗕𝗮𝗶 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗠. 𝗔𝗯𝗼, 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝟭 - 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿, whose continued guidance and support contribute greatly to the advancement of development initiatives in the Bangsamoro region.

This initiative underscores our collective commitment to sustainable development, strengthened livelihood opportunities, and the continuing rehabilitation and progress of communities in the region.
