Sharing a long voyage with elders I look up to as fathers. These are men who once carried the struggle for the Bangsamoro cause through some of its most difficult chapters, and who continue to carry that responsibility today, helping steer the transition from the battlefield into the political process in pursuit of our people’s right to self-determination.

The challenges ahead are huge. But when you’re sailing with people who have weathered storms before, you can’t help but feel a whole lot more steady in moving forward, with Allah’s guidance.

Grateful for their wisdom, stories, and guidance.

Tuloy lang. For the Bangsamoro. For the generations to come.

My heartfelt thanks to the people of Malabang and Picong, represented by former Mayor Sultan sa Tanaon Alinader “Dagar” Balindong, for expressing their support for my candidacy as Representative of the Traditional Leaders Sector.

A BROTHERHOOD BEYOND THIS WORLD

I am deeply touched by this gesture from my brother, MP Tawakal Midtimbang, who raised my hand to reaffirm his commitment to support us, especially my candidacy as Traditional Leaders Representative.

The Midtimbang family carries a long-standing traditional and political legacy across three adjoining municipalities in central Maguindanao del Sur—Datu Anggal Midtimbang, the clan’s namesake municipality, Talayan, and Guindulungan. To receive this gesture of support from a brother who comes from such a respected family is truly meaningful to me.

But what moved me most were his words: “We are not just friends; we are brothers—fi dunya wal akhirah.”

Masha Allah.

In a journey built on trust, sacrifice, and service to the Bangsamoro, having a brother who stands beside you is a blessing beyond words. His support means so much to me—not only as a fellow leader, but as a brother whose bond goes beyond this dunya.

There is a different kind of strength when people come together—not because they are asked to, but because they believe, they care, and they share a vision for the future of the Bangsamoro.

In District 5, I felt that strength.
