Midterm Evaluation and Strategic Review 2026 Successfully Concluded

Quezon City - The Commission has completed its Midterm Evaluation and Strategic Review of Program Implementation for 2026, marked by the presentation of accomplishments, participatory discussions, and strategic planning workshops.

This milestone provided a vital opportunity to assess progress in the first half of the year, measure the achievement of targets and expected results, and identify operational gaps, implementation challenges, and emerging risks affecting program delivery.

Through collaborative discussions and workshop sessions, participants from both the provincial and regional offices proposed interventions, corrective measures, and practical strategies to strengthen program implementation for the remaining months of 2026.

The activity reaffirmed the organizationโ€™s commitment to results-based management, accountability, continuous learning, and responsive program delivery. The recommendations and agreed actions will serve as important guides to improve performance and ensure the timely and effective achievement of the organizationโ€™s goals and commitments.

2026 Midyear Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting

Quezon City โ€“ The Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC) successfully convened its 2026 Midyear Management Committee (ManCom) Meeting in Quezon City. The meeting was presided over by Chairperson Hadja Bainon G. Karon and attended by all Provincial Commissioners, Division Chiefs, and Unit Heads, underscoring the Commissionโ€™s collective commitment to strengthening institutional performance and accountability.

The session opened with the review of the 2025 ManCom outcomes, followed by discussions on key organizational matters. Among the highlights were the Revised Personal Data Sheet (PDS), Performance Commitments, GSIS Concerns, PRIME-HRM Updates, Human Resource Matters, and Upcoming Activities.

The meeting also provided an open forum for employee concerns, fostering transparency and inclusivity in decision-making.

In closing, the Commission consolidated agreements and action points, assigning responsibilities and setting clear deadlines for compliance. Chairperson Karon emphasized that the Midyear ManCom serves not only as a venue for reporting but also as a strategic exercise in foresight and accountability, ensuring that the Commission remains responsive to the needs of Bangsamoro women and communities.

Quezon City - The Bangsamoro Women Commission (BWC) convened its 3rd En Banc Session, presided over by Honorable Chairperson Hadja Bainon G. Karon, on 22 July 2026 in Quezon City.

The session provided a venue for the Commission to deliberate on significant policy and institutional matters, including the presentation of findings on Indigenous Peoples (IP) women's representation, the adoption of policy research papers, and the presentation of evidence-based policy research proposals from the BWC Provincial Offices. These discussions reaffirm the Commission's commitment to strengthening gender-responsive governance, advancing evidence-based policymaking, and promoting the rights and welfare of Bangsamoro women throughout the region.

The Bangsamoro Women Commission remains steadfast in its mandate to formulate responsive policies and programs that foster inclusive development and contribute to the realization of gender equality and women's empowerment in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
