Ramadan message in February. No Easter message in April. Critics are asking why.

Buckingham Palace confirmed on April 2 that King Charles III will not issue an Easter message this year. In February, the Royal Family's social media account had wished Muslims a "blessed and peaceful Ramadan" — posted on Shrove Tuesday, the Christian day before Lent. Last year, Windsor Castle hosted an Iftar for 350 Muslim guests in St George's Hall — the first in the castle's 1,000-year history.

The Palace points out that Easter messages are not an annual royal tradition. Queen Elizabeth II issued only one during her entire reign, during the COVID pandemic. But Charles had released an Easter message every year since becoming king in 2022, making this the first break from his own pattern.

Charles and Queen Camilla attended a Maundy Thursday service at St Asaph Cathedral in Wales. Bishop Ceirion Dewar called the decision "bitterly disappointing." A former chaplain to Queen Elizabeth said it creates the impression the King "favours Islam."

This parrot has been skydiving AND scuba diving with his owner. His name is Bebe and he lives his best life.

A parrot named Bebe is going viral after his owner, Steven Lawyer, took him snorkeling in the Bahamas using a custom-built bird submarine. The homemade vessel was made from a clear food container with air fittings, a paintball cylinder for fresh air, lead weights for neutral buoyancy, and an oxygen alarm inside to monitor levels.

Before hitting the open water, the team ran safety tests, including a trial run in a bathtub. Bebe has also gone skydiving with his owner, sitting in a clear bubble strapped to Lawyer's chest before flying out to chase the parachute on the way down.

Most pets sit at home. Bebe explores the ocean floor and jumps out of planes.

12 senior military leaders fired in 14 months. One Defense Secretary. Zero official explanations.

Since taking office in January 2025, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired more than a dozen of the U.S. military's most senior leaders — including the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Chief of Naval Operations, the head of the NSA, and most recently the Army Chief of Staff during active war with Iran. The Pentagon has given no official reasons for most of the firings.

Among those removed: Gen. C.Q. Brown Jr. (first Black Air Force chief), Adm. Lisa Franchetti (first woman to lead the Navy), Adm. Linda Fagan (first woman to head the Coast Guard), Gen. Timothy Haugh (NSA director), Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse (DIA director), and Gen. Randy George (Army Chief of Staff). NBC News reported Hegseth has blocked or delayed promotions for more than a dozen Black and female senior officers.

The White House says the changes reflect a "warrior ethos" and meritocracy. Five former defense secretaries, including Jim Mattis, have called the pattern "reckless" and asked Congress to hold hearings on national security implications. No hearings have been scheduled. This is a developing story.
