COTABATO CITY| The Office of the Member of Parliament Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., headed by Chief of Staff Hammad A. Yacob, MPA, attended the Ceremonial Turn-over and Signing of Memorandum of Understanding for Tulong Medical Assistance Program and Provision of Mercury Drug Assistance Project under the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2026 Supplemental Fund, implemented by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on 9 Safar 1448 AH/ July 23, 2026 in Alnor Hotel and Convention Center.

The program aims to make medical assistance more accessible to Bangsamoro families by helping qualified beneficiaries receive the medicines and healthcare support they need.

Through this partnership, the Office of MP Yacob will continue to assist and guide constituents in accessing the program, especially those who cannot afford the cost of their medicines. This initiative reflects the Office's commitment to bringing government services closer to the people and supporting the health and well-being of the Bangsamoro community.

Present during the activity were Minister Dr. Kadir Sinolinding Jr., staff from the Office of MP Yacob, and representatives from Mercury Drug – Santos Branch.

𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐒𝐘-𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐋 𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐎 𝐃𝐀’𝐖𝐀𝐇 𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐒 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆

𝐂𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 — The Bangsamoro Parliament approved on third and final reading BTA Parliament Bill No. 463, or the proposed Bangsamoro Da’wah Center Act of 2026, during its session on July 15, 2026. The landmark measure, principally authored by Speaker Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., together with Member of Parliament Dr. Muhammad Nadzir S. Ebil, garnered unanimous support with 45 affirmative votes, zero negative votes, and zero abstentions.

The proposed legislation seeks to establish the Bangsamoro Da’wah Center as the region’s primary institution for advancing Islamic da’wah, developing the capacity of da’wah workers, fostering interfaith understanding, and ensuring the transparent administration of waqf (Islamic endowments) for the welfare of Bangsamoro communities.

The bill received unanimous support from members of the Bangsamoro Parliament, underscoring the legislature’s collective commitment to strengthening Islamic institutions, promoting religious education, encouraging community development, and advancing inclusive governance anchored on Islamic values and the aspirations of the Bangsamoro people.

Following its approval on third and final reading, the measure advances to the next stage of the legislative process toward its enactment into law. Once enacted, the Bangsamoro Da’wah Center is expected to play a vital role in institutionalizing Islamic da’wah initiatives, strengthening social cohesion, and supporting sustainable peace and development across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃| On June 4 and June 10, 2026, the Office of the Member of Parliament Mohammad S. Yacob, Ph.D., conducted a site validation of the Covered Court with Concrete Posts Project under the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) implemented by the Ministry of Public Works (MPW) in Barangay Pusaka, Mamasapano, Maguindanao del Sur, and Sitio Cabugao, Barangay Sapad, Municipality of Matanog, Maguindanao del Norte, respectively.
The activity aims to conduct on-site inspections and validate the proposed location for the Covered Court with Concrete Posts Project under the TDIF, ensuring technical feasibility, accessibility, and community readiness.

These site validations are part of the preparation process to help ensure that the project will effectively serve residents and provide a safe and functional space for community activities, gatherings, and events. The initiative reflects the commitment to supporting grassroots development and improving public infrastructure in communities across the Bangsamoro region.

Present during the site visit were the Office of MP Yacob staff, headed by Akmad S. Andil-SPAO I, Badrudin U. Abdullah, personnel from the Ministry of Public Works, and the beneficiaries of the project.

On the blessed occasion of Eid’l Adha, I extend my warmest greetings to the entire Bangsamoro community and to all our Muslim brothers and sisters across the nation and around the world.

Eid’l Adha reminds us of the faith, obedience, sacrifice, and devotion exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and Prophet Ismail (AS). Their unwavering trust in Allah teaches us the importance of sincerity, humility, and steadfast commitment to what is right and just.

As we celebrate this holy feast, may we renew our commitment to unity and solidarity as one Bangsamoro people. Let us continue to work together with compassion, mutual respect, and a shared vision for peace, progress, and inclusive development.
