Iloilo - A Top 5 Most Wanted Person at the regional level was arrested by tracker team of the Barotac Nuevo Municipal Police Station during a manhut operation conducted in Brgy. Tabuc Suba, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo on May 13, 2026.

The accused, identified only by the alias “Pilo,” 26 years old, was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for two counts of Violation of Section 5(h) and Section 5(i) of Republic Act 9262, otherwise known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004.
The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 6 in Dumangas, Iloilo on August 1, 2021 with bail set at Php72,000.00 for each case.

PBGEN JOSEFINO D LIGAN, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 6, commended the operating units for the successful arrest and emphasized the continuing campaign against wanted persons across Western Visayas.

“This successful operation reflects our firm commitment to protecting women, children, and other vulnerable members of our communities. No matter how long it takes, we will continue to pursue individuals facing criminal charges and make sure they answer before the law. We want the public to know that PRO6 remains determined in its mission to keep Western Visayas safe, peaceful, and secure for every family,” PBGEN LIGAN said.

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝟔 𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐢𝐱 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐧𝐞-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐎𝐩𝐬

Iloilo City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) arrested six most wanted persons at the provincial and city levels during separate operations conducted within 24 hours on May 12, 2026.

At around 10:56 AM, the Top 10 Most Wanted Person (MWP) of Iloilo City for the crime of Estafa, identified as alias “Justine,” voluntarily surrendered to the personnel of Iloilo City Police Office – Police Station 2 in Brgy. Nabitasan, La Paz, Iloilo City, and was able to post bail on the same day.

Subsequently, alias “Totong,” tagged as Iloilo Province’s Top 6 MWP for the crime of R**e by Carnal Knowledge, was arrested by the personnel of Carles MPS together with the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company at around 12:40 PM in Brgy. Bancal, Carles, Iloilo.

At around 3:30 PM, the Rank 9 Provincial MWP of Capiz for Lascivious Conduct under Section 5(B) of RA No. 7610, identified as alias “Toto,” voluntarily surrendered to the personnel of Roxas City Police Station at Pueblo de Panay, Brgy. Lawaan, Roxas City.

Meanwhile, in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, joint elements of Barotac Viejo MPS and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office – Provincial Intelligence Unit arrested the Top 7 Provincial MWP of Iloilo for the crime of R**e with Homicide, identified as alias “Mark,” at about 4:37 PM in Brgy. Poblacion, Barotac Viejo.

In Capiz, personnel of Ivisan MPS arrested the province’s Top 8 MWP for Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 336 of the RPC, as amended in relation to Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610, identified as alias “Emil,” at around 5:12 PM in Poblacion Norte, Ivisan, Capiz.

Further, personnel of the Jamindan MPS arrested Capiz Province’s Top 7 Most Wanted Person for R**e under Article 266-A(1), in relation to Article 266-B of the RPC, at around 5:18 PM in Brgy. Poblacion, Jamindan, Capiz.

“These arrests speak volumes about the dedication and hard work of our personnel in tracking down fugitives. Likewise, the voluntary surrender of two wanted persons manifests the strong cooperation and trust of the community in the justice system of the PNP,” said POLICE BRIGADIER GENERAL JOSEFINO D LIGAN, Regional Director of PRO6.

“We also urge all other wanted persons to voluntarily surrender and face the consequences of their actions. Rest assured that the PNP will continue to uphold due process with fairness and respect for human rights,” he added.

All arrested suspects are now under police custody for proper disposition of their respective cases.

WANTED PERSON IN 2025 MURDER CASE VOLUNTARILY SURRENDERS IN BULACAN

A 37-year-old Filipino male voluntarily surrendered following the service of a warrant of arrest for murder in Baliwag, Bulacan on the afternoon of May 12, 2026.

Personnel of the Baliwag City Police Station, through a tracker team, facilitated the voluntary surrender of the accused after sustained intelligence monitoring and continuous coordination with his family and close contacts. The accused is reportedly a member of a local criminal group operating in Bulacan.

The warrant of arrest, issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Third Judicial Region, Branch 9 in Malolos, Bulacan on January 6, 2026, carries no bail recommended for the murder case involving an incident in June 2025 in Baliwag, Bulacan.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating unit for the accomplishment, underscoring the importance of sustained police effort and coordination in locating wanted persons.

“Hinihikayat natin ang mga taong may kinakaharap na kaso na makipagtulungan at sumunod sa batas. Ang boluntaryong pagsuko ay mahalagang hakbang upang maharap nang maayos ang kanilang mga kaso sa tamang proseso ng hustisya,” he said.

The accused was turned over to the custody of the Baliwag City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

The successful operation forms part of the PNP’S continuing implementation of its Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, reinforcing intelligence-driven initiatives and targeted law enforcement actions in support of public safety objectives aligned with the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

The PNP reiterated its commitment to proactive policing and community partnership in support of safer communities under “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”
