As Strategic Partners, Australia and the Philippines are strengthening our collaborative and coordinated law enforcement response to countering child sexual abuse and exploitation of children. π¦πΊπ΅π
PCOL PORTIA B MANALAD, Acting Chief, Women and Children Protection Center (WCPC) participated in the Countering Child Sexual Exploitation Regional Dialogue (CCSERD), on October 23-27, 2023 in Phuket, Thailand.
The dialogue brings together the Australian Federal Police (AFP) and Southeast Asian law enforcement agencies to collaborate and enhance subject matter expertise to increase the regionβs capability to combat child sexual exploitation.
The three-day dialogue will include panel and group discussions, and presentations. PCOL MANALAD presented βbuilding an investigation around a referralβ. Acting, Chief WCPC also discussed the role of PICACC when referral is received, followed by an endorsement to the PNP WCPC Field Units including their role in pursuing an investigation.
