Nanay β₯οΈ Ren Heart!
Today, while looking out from the third floor of my office, I happened to see a scene that made me pause.
There was a grandmother patiently pushing her grandson in a wheelchair across the campus.
I already know their story, so seeing them from a distance made the moment feel different. It wasn't simply a grandmother helping her grandson get from one place to another. I saw years of love, sacrifice, patience, and unwavering support in that simple moment.
His name is Ren Hart, a 4th-year Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) Computer Technology student at CTU Daanbantayan.
And beside him throughout his college journey has been his grandmother.
She has been with him since the very beginning of his first year in college.
For four years, she has been there, helping him get around campus, accompanying him through his college journey, and making sure that he can continue pursuing his education.
Four years.
Think about that.
College is already a challenging journey for any student. There are classes, examinations, projects, deadlines, sleepless nights, and countless challenges along the way. But for Ren Hart, his journey has also been accompanied by someone who has consistently been there to help him move forward.
His grandmother.
She may not be the one attending his classes or taking his examinations, but she has been an important part of his journey.
Every time she pushes his wheelchair across the campus, she is not merely helping him move from one place to another.
She is helping him move closer to his dreams.
And perhaps that is what makes their story so beautiful.
Today, from the third floor of my office, I witnessed something I will not easily forget.
I saw a grandmother and her grandson.
But what I really saw was love in motion.
May Ren Hart continue to persevere until he reaches that finish line. And may his grandmother be there, just as she has been since his first year, to witness the moment when all their sacrifices become a beautiful achievement.
Soon, Ren Hart. Soon, you'll be holding your diploma. And I hope you know that you didn't get there alone. π
