Tapilon Youth Volunteers Actively Participates in Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Tapilon National High School 📖🤩🧹✨

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Tapilon proudly joined Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Tapilon National High School, demonstrating once again its commitment to volunteerism, community service, and youth empowerment. Guided by the spirit of bayanihan and in support of the Department of Education’s mission to create a safe and conducive learning environment, SK Tapilon actively took part in the school's preparation for the upcoming academic year.

Together with dedicated teachers, parents, students, and community volunteers, the youth leaders and volunteers worked hand in hand in cleaning, organizing, and beautifying various areas of the school campus. Through collective effort and cooperation, the activity highlighted the importance of community involvement in ensuring quality education for every learner.

SOMETHING BIG IS COMING, DAANBANTAYAN! 🎉🤩

As the much-awaited Municipality Fiesta draws near, the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Daanbantayan, led by our hardworking Municipal SK Federation President, Hon. Crystal Jo Rodrigo, together with the Local Youth Development Office designate, Mr. Orville Mosende and the dedicated SK Chairpersons from the different barangays of the municipality, recently gathered for an important session to discuss and finalize preparations for the upcoming youth-centered activities that will surely make this year's fiesta celebration more exciting, meaningful, and memorable.

The session focused on the preparation and organization of the highly anticipated Daanbantayan Fiesta League, Linggo ng Kabataan, and SK Nite events designed to showcase the talents, skills, sportsmanship, leadership, and unity of the youth across the municipality.

Through collaboration, planning, and commitment, our SK leaders are working hand in hand to ensure that every activity will not only bring entertainment and enjoyment but will also strengthen camaraderie among the youth and create opportunities for meaningful participation in our community.

Behind every successful event is a team of passionate young leaders who continuously dedicate their time and effort to serve and provide programs that inspire and empower the next generation.

📢 Successful Conduct of the Orientation on the Three-Year Gender and Development (GAD) Agenda

On May 28, 2026, the Barangay Tapilon Committee on Gender and Development (GAD), under the leadership of Barangay Councilor and GAD Chairperson Hon. Edna Tariman, successfully hosted the Orientation on the Three-Year GAD Agenda at the Tapilon Covered Court.

The activity brought together barangay officials, GAD focal persons, and representatives from the clustered barangays of Maya, Talisay, Lanao, and Agujo, demonstrating a shared commitment to promoting gender equality, women's empowerment, and inclusive community development. The orientation served as an important platform for enhancing participants' understanding of the formulation, implementation, and alignment of the Three-Year GAD Agenda in accordance with existing laws, policies, and government directives on Gender and Development.

The event was enriched by the valuable insights and expertise of Ms. Heidie L. Aplece from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), who served as the resource speaker. Through her informative discussions and practical guidance, participants gained a deeper appreciation of the significance of strategic planning and gender-responsive governance in addressing the needs of all sectors of society.

This successful orientation marks another significant step toward strengthening and institutionalizing Gender and Development programs and initiatives at the barangay level. It reflects the dedication of Barangay Tapilon and other barangays in fostering communities where gender equality, social inclusion, and sustainable development are actively promoted and upheld.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the people who made this initiative successful, to our hardworking CTU student facilitators and volunteers, thank you for sharing your time, patience, knowledge, and passion in teaching Mathematics to the Tapilonanon youth. Building Preparedness: SK Tapilon and Red Cross Conduct First Aid & CPR Training at TNHS⛑️❤️✨

LOOK | Barangay Tapilon Sangguniang Kabataan, successfully conducted a “First Aid and CPR Training” at Tapilon National High School.

This vital training was facilitated by the Philippine Red Cross – Bogo Branch, led by Volunteer Branch Focal Person Ms. Keren Heart Petersen, alongside the dedicated Red Cross Youth volunteers. The training aimed to equip Grades 11 and 12 students with essential life-saving skills in first aid and CPR, empowering them to respond confidently in emergency situations.

Also present during the training were the Tapilon Youth Responders and Boy Scouts of Tapilon National High School, who actively participated and showed great enthusiasm throughout the event.
The success of this initiative would not have been possible without the strong support and collaboration of Tapilon National High School Principal II, Mr. Rafael Beloria, as well as the TNHS faculty and staff, who played a key role in the overall ex*****on of the event.

Special thanks to Mr. Felmar Gastador, Adviser of Ang Mauswagong Tapilon, and its ever-active Vice President Mr. Bryll Formentera for their help with background decorations, crowd control, and distribution of snacks, ensuring a smooth and well-organized activity.

We also commend the unwavering dedication of the SK Council members who were present and hands-on during the event: Hon. Kieth Lester Arranchado, Chairperson of the Committee on Health and Health Sanitation, who led this successful activity as part of his committee work; Hon. Zerjane Mae Ducante, and SK Treasurer Ms. Meca Marie A. Avila, for their contributions and presence.

To all the students who participated, thank you for your eagerness to learn. May this training become a meaningful part of your growth as empowered and prepared youth.
