Moderate to Heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are expected over (Medellin, CityOfBogo, Tabogon, Borbon, Sogod, Tuburan, Tudela, Pilar), (Calubian, Leyte, Kananga, OrmocCity, Merida, Isabel, Babatngon, TaclobanCity), (Cauayan, CityOfSipalay, Candoni, Ilog), (SanVicente), (Talalora, Pinabacdao), (PadreBurgos and Macrohon) within the next 30 minutes to an hour.

The above conditions are being experienced in (Daanbantayan, SanFrancisco, Poro, Tabuelan, SanRemigio), (SanIsidro, Tabango, Villaba, Palompon, MatagOb), (Magsaysay, Cuyo, Agutaya), (SantaRita, Villareal) and (Limasawa) which may persist within 1 to 2 hours and may affect nearby areas.

All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. Keep monitoring for updates.

SUPER EL NIΓ‘O TO AFFECT CEBU β˜€οΈπŸŒ‘οΈ

Due to the continuing β€œVery Strong” El NiΓ±o conditions in the country, Cebu is expected to experience drier-than-normal conditions and below-normal rainfall over the coming months.

Based on the PAGASA Climate Outlook released in September 2026, drier-than-normal conditions are expected across Cebu over the next six (6) months. These conditions may progress from DRY CONDITIONS to DRY SPELL and eventually DROUGHT if the rainfall deficit persists.

🟑 NOVEMBER 2026 β€” DRY CONDITIONS
Rainfall is expected to remain below normal for two (2) consecutive months.

🟠 DECEMBER 2026–FEBRUARY 2027 β€” DRY SPELL
The continuing rainfall deficit may result in increasingly dry conditions over successive months.

πŸ”΄ MARCH 2027 β€” DROUGHT
If the prolonged rainfall deficit continues, conditions may further worsen and potentially reach drought or severe dryness.

However, it is important to remember that El Niño does not mean that there will be no rain. Despite the generally drier conditions, localized heavy rainfall may still occur due to the localized thunderstorms, tropical cyclones, intertropical convergence zones, and other weather systems. 🌧️
