Personnel under the supervision of PLTCOL DANILO D COLIPANO, Chief of Police, conducted mobile patrolling at business establishments today, August 7, 2026 to strengthen security measures, enhance police visibility, and prevent possible criminal and unlawful activities within the area of responsibility.
The operation aimed to ensure the safety of the public, secure critical infrastructures and establishments, and monitor the movement of persons and vehicles entering and leaving the municipality.

Continuous patrol and inspection activities were also carried out to maintain peace and order, provide immediate police response, and reinforce public confidence through proactive and community-oriented policing anchored on the principle of โ€œSerbisyong Nararamdaman.โ€

The activity aimed to strengthen peace and order, establish closer coordination with residents, and provide immediate police assistance whenever necessary. Through regular patrol operations, authorities continue to encourage community participation in crime prevention and promote public confidence in law enforcement efforts.

A major anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the Philippine National Police - Daanbantayan Municipal Police Station, through its Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), resulted in the successful arrest of ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐ž๐ž ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐  ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ and the seizure of approximately ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐›๐ฎ with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of โ‚ฑ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ–,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ.๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ on August 6, 2026, in Sitio Tagasa, Barangay Maya, Daanbantayan, Cebu.

The operation was carried out through a buy-bust operation under proper coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). Based on the police investigation, the arrested individuals were ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ ๐ž๐๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐  ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ in their locality who were suspected of engaging in the illegal drug trade. During the operation, operating personnel recovered several sachets containing suspected shabu, indicating a significant quantity of illegal drugs intended for distribution within the community.

The confiscated suspected shabu, with an estimated total weight of ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฌ and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of โ‚ฑ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ–,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ.๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ, was properly inventoried and submitted to the Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination. The arrested suspects were informed of their constitutional rights and taken into police custody while appropriate charges for violation of Article II, Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared for filing before the court.
