Through the initiative of the Camarines Norte Provincial Library, in collaboration with Museo Bulawan and the Provincial Cooperatives Development Office, and in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Mercedes and MSWDO Mercedes, the HABI ISLA: Isang Sama-samang Lingap at Ambag was successfully conducted last May 2, 2026, at Quinapaguian Island, Mercedes, Camarines Norte.
The team was warmly welcomed by the Barangay Quinapaguian staff, headed by Kap. Arman V. Aragon, together with the MSWDO representatives, Mr. Jay R. Padilla, Ms. Marjories A. Gonzales, Ms. Marivic S. Rellora, and Myra V. Briola.
The project featured simultaneous activities aimed at uplifting the community: the distribution of relief goods to 70 families; storytelling sessions conducted by the Camarines Norte Provincial Library; interactive sessions for children facilitated by Museo Bulawan; an open-to-all feeding program assisted by the Provincial Cooperatives Development Office; and the turnover of forty (40) sets of school bags and school supplies to selected students, facilitated by JCI Daet Bulawan and JCI Daet Kabihug.
This bayanihan-driven initiative served as a bridge of hope and compassion, bringing together various sectors to extend meaningful support to the island community. More than the assistance provided, it fostered a spirit of unity, shared responsibility, and genuine care for one another.
Indeed, HABI ISLA is a testament to what can be achieved when hearts come together for a common purpose, proving that through collective effort, we can create lasting impact and inspire positive change.
Bayanihan para sa bayan. Magkaisa para sa lahat!
