DepEd Region V - Bicol projects a total of 1,638,086 enrollees for School Year 2026–2027, with enrollment activities scheduled from June 1 to 5 during the nationwide Brigada Eskwela, which helps schools prepare for the new academic year.

👷📚 Mahigit 19,000 TUPAD beneficiaries, nakiisa sa 2026 sa Bicol

Aabot sa 19,348 benepisyaryo ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) TUPAD program ang nakibahagi sa Brigada Eskwela sa buong Bicol Region bilang paghahanda sa nalalapit na pagbubukas ng klase.
Ayon kay DOLE Bicol Regional Director Imelda Gatinao, mahigit P103-M ang inilaan ng ahensya para sa implementasyon ng TUPAD sa rehiyon.
Ayon kay Gatinao, bawat benepisyaryo ay tatanggap ng P4,550 kapalit ng 10 araw na trabaho.

Maliban sa pagtulong sa paglilinis at pagsasaayos ng mga paaralan, makatutulong din ang ayuda sa pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan ng kanilang pamilya, lalo na sa pagbili ng school supplies ng kanilang mga anak para sa darating na school year.

Isinagawa ang regional launch ng Brigada Eskwela ngayong araw, Hunyo 3, sa Labo Elementary School sa Camarines Norte.

Labo Elementary School in Camarines Norte served as the venue for the regional launch of Brigada Eskwela 2026 on June 3, bringing together education leaders, local officials, government agencies, and private sector partners in support of school readiness efforts across the Bicol Region.

The event was led by DepEd Region V - Bicol Regional Director Gilbert Sadsad and attended by Schools Division Superintendents from various provinces and cities in the region. Also present were Camarines Norte Governor Ricarte Padilla, Labo Mayor Jojo Francisco, and Board Member Arnold Balane. DOLE Regional Director Imelda Gatinao pledged TUPAD program support for this year's Brigada Eskwela.

Several government agencies joined the activity, including the PIA, DOLE, BSP, DSWD, DILG, COMELEC, PCG, DPWH, PNP, BFP, DOH, Philippine Army, GSIS, and PhilHealth. Banks and private organizations likewise turned over donations to support this year’s Brigada Eskwela.

The event highlighted the collective commitment of stakeholders to ensure that schools are safe, prepared, and conducive to learning ahead of the opening of classes.
