The Provincial Government of Abra suspends onsite face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School on August 17, 2026, upon the recommendation of DepEd-Abra, to ensure the safety and well-being of learners and school personnel.

Schools are advised to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM), when conditions permit, in accordance with DepEd guidelines.

This is pursuant to DepEd Order No. 022, s. 2024, particularly Section 1, Article I, which provides for the suspension of in-person classes during disasters and emergencies while ensuring learning continuity through appropriate alternative delivery modalities.

As Term 1 examinations approach toward the end of August and the First Term officially concludes on 15 September 2026, the DepEd Three-Term School Calendar continues to be implemented in public schools across the Schools Division of Abra.

This reform aims to protect instructional time, strengthen learning continuity, ease teacher workload pressures, and ensure that every learner develops the essential learning competencies.

For clarity, the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar does not change the curriculum, academic standards, national assessments, or the required number of school days.

Let us continue to stay informed and work together-teachers, learners, parents, and the entire Abra education communityโ€”in supporting the successful implementation of the DepEd Three-Term School Calendar.

For more information, please see the attached information material.

Sama-sama para sa tuloy-tuloy na pagkatuto sa bawat paaralan ng Abra!

Despite the gloomy weather and continuous heavy rainfall due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) , the SDRRM Coordinator conducted a school inspection today to check the condition of the school.

Thankfully, no damages were found in the classrooms. However, some parts of the school buildings are already severely deteriorated due to their old structure and age.

The school will continue to monitor the condition of the buildings to ensure the safety of our school facilities.

Capitan National High School officially kicked off the Nutrition Month Celebration 2026 during the Flag Raising Ceremony held on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Following the ceremony, the school formally introduced this year's theme, "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan." The school nurse shared insights on the significance of the theme, emphasizing the strong connection between proper nutrition, environmental stewardship, and the overall well-being of every learner.

As part of the kickoff celebration, learners brought a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables as a manifestation of their commitment to a healthy lifestyle and an appreciation of the nutritious food that nature provides. This simple yet meaningful activity highlighted the importance of choosing healthy, natural foods as part of daily living.

In line with the Division Memorandum No. 288, s. 2026, the month-long Nutrition Month activities are integrated into various learning areas to ensure meaningful participation while keeping regular instructional time uninterrupted.

Through this celebration, Capitan National High School reaffirms its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, environmental awareness, and holistic learner development.

Together, let us nurture healthy minds, healthy bodies, and a healthier environment!

Capitan National High School successfully conducted the Student-Led School Watching and Hazard Mapping Activity, empowering our learners to actively identify potential hazards and promote a safer school environment.

Through this activity, the school's student-leaders inspected different areas of the campus, identified possible risks, and created hazard maps that will help strengthen our school's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) initiatives. This hands-on experience developed their awareness, critical thinking, teamwork, and sense of responsibility in ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in the school community.

This activity reflects our commitment to building a culture of preparedness, resilience, and shared responsibility, where every learner plays an active role in making our school a safer place for all.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our school administrators, teachers, DRRM Coordinator, and student leaders for their support and active participation in the successful implementation of this activity.

Together, we build a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready Capitan National High School!

Thank You, RHU Daguioman!

Capitan National High School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Rural Health Unit of Daguioman for providing free deworming tablets to the schools in the Daguioman District.

This generous support plays a vital role in our school's health and nutrition program by helping ensure the well-being of our learners. A healthy child is better equipped to learn, participate, and succeed in school.

The school nurse will facilitate a deworming activity for all students upon securing the consent of their parents or guardians.

Thank you, RHU Daguioman, for your continued generosity, commitment, and partnership in promoting the health and welfare of our learners. Together, we are building a healthier and brighter future for every child.

July 01, 2026

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents of Capitan National High School who responded to our call for the continuation of the repair and improvement of our old Junior High School classrooms.

Since the opening of the school year, the school has been using the Barangay Multi-Purpose Hall as a temporary learning space while the old classroom building remains under repair. Completing this project will allow these classrooms to be used once again, providing a safer and more conducive learning environment for our learners, especially during this rainy season.

We encourage all parents to continue participating and cooperating in the completion of this important project. Your support and commitment greatly contribute to creating better learning facilities for our students.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the LGU Daguioman for its continued assistance and untiring support in improving our school buildings.

Together, we are making quality education possible through safe and functional learning spaces.

Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat!
