In celebration of the 2025 National Women's Month, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Pangasinan officially launched its annual Trade Fair at the Community Environment and Natural Resources (CENR) Office of Central Pangasinan on March 6, 2025.
The opening ceremony featured a ceremonial ribbon-cutting led by key officials, including PENR Officer Raymond A. Rivera, CENR Officer Noriel G. Nisperos, CENR Officer Rico G. Biado, PENRO-MSD Chief Noera N. Caracas, and CP III Jorge Balan Jr., who represented CENR Officer Chester O. Casil.

This year's trade fair highlighted a diverse range of products from various CENR Offices throughout the province, showcasing local talent and craftsmanship. The "Trade Fair sa CENRO Dagupan" will continue on March 13 and 17, 2025, providing an excellent opportunity for the community to support local entrepreneurs and celebrate women's contributions to business and culture.

Attendees can look forward to finding unique products while enjoying the festivities in honor of Women's Month.

In celebration of National Women's Month 2025, themed "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas," the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office Pangasinan launched the celebration under the guidance of PENR Officer Raymond A. Rivera. This event was held alongside the Monday Convocation on March 3, 2025, aiming to raise awareness and advocate for gender equality while highlighting the essential rights, power, and opportunities available to women across all sectors of society.

The kick-off event commenced with the standard preliminaries of the Monday convocation, which set an uplifting tone for the day. Following this, key messages were delivered by PENRO-TSD Chief Ronnie M. Jacinto, PENRO-MSD Chief Noera N. Caracas, and PENR Officer Raymond A. Rivera, each eloquently emphasized the significance of gender equality and women's empowerment, encouraging participants to support and promote these ideals in their respective fields actively.

The inspirational messages were followed by a photo opportunity, allowing attendees to capture the spirit of camaraderie and commitment to gender equality. Participants then engaged in an invigorating Zumba exercise session, promoting health and wellness while celebrating women's energy and resilience. The morning activities culminated in a solemn holy mass, presided over by Rev. Msgr. Manuel S. Bravo Jr., which provided a moment for reflection and spiritual unity among all attendees.

DENR-PENRO PANGASINAN CONDUCTS IEC ACTIVITY FOR STUDENTS OF JUAN P. GUADIZ ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

As part of its kick-off celebration of the 2024 National Women's Month, PENRO Pangasinan also conducted a Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) campaign on March 04, 2024 for Grade 4-6 students of Juan P. Guadiz Elementary School.

Administrative Officer I Lorna Espinoza gave a briefer on the 2024 National Women’s Month celebration, discussing the history of Women's Month in the Philippines and its importance in the country. Afterwards, she discussed the Safe Spaces Act, detailing in particular the Overview of Republic Act 11313 also known as Safe Spaces Act or Anti-Bastos Law, the objective, coverage and the acts considered harassment which can be identified and reported as a violation to the law.

Other topics such as World Wildlife Day and World Seagrass Day were also discussed to the students to raise awareness on other environmental celebrations.

A total of 41 students comprised of 25 female and 16 male students ranging from Grade 4 to Grade 6 students attended the CEPA activity.

Additionally, a IEC materials regarding RA 9262 Anti-VAWC were also distributed to the school.

DENR-PENRO PANGASINAN JOINS IN THE CELEBRATION OF 2024 NATIONAL WOMEN'S MONTH

DENR-PENRO Pangasinan once again joins in the celebration of National Women's Month 2024 with its kickoff activity on March 04, 2024.

The kick-off of National Women’s Month 2024 commenced with the regular DENR- I Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and hanging of the official 2024 National Women’s Month banner which was led PENR Officer Raymond A. Rivera and MSD Chief Marlyn M. Banda.

After the official hanging of the 2024 NWMC Banner, a health and wellness program was held through a Zumba activity for all PENRO personnel.

With “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the 2024 sub-theme calls for a Bagong Pilipinas where women are given equitable opportunities and not hindered by gender biases and discriminatory stereotypes. “Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, patutunayan!,” aims to showcase and harness the full potentials of women and girls in actively engaging in and reaping the benefits of national growth and development.

DENR PANGASINAN'S CONDUCT OF GIFT-GIVING AND IEC ACTIVITY IN OBSERVANCE OF THE 18-DAY CAMPAIGN TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

PENRO Pangasinan, together with CENROs Alaminos, Dagupan, and Urdaneta, conducted an Communication, Education, Public Awareness (CEPA) and gift-giving activity Office in observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women which was held on December 11, 2023 at Babuyan Elementary School, Infanta, Pangasinan.

Lectures on RA 9262 (Salient Provisions of RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act) and on Republic Act No. 11313 also known as the “Safe Spaces Act” or more commonly knowns as “Bawal Bastos Law” were provided to DENR personnel, Barangay Officials of Barangay Babuyan, teachers of Babuyan Elementary School and respective parents of students as part of the office’s bid to raise awareness on the 18-Day observation against Violence Against Women.

A total of seventy-one (71) pupils ranging from Kinder to Grade 6 Students of Babuyan Elementary School also received health kits, toys, and other gifts during the gift-giving activity held during the program. The gifts were sourced from donations pooled from all field Offices in Pangasinan as well as donations from partner LGUs, government agencies and private organizations.

Mothers of the pupils as well as the teachers of the school were also given gifts during the activity while collected relief goods and spare clothes were turned over to the Barangay Council of Babuyan for proper distribution to their constituents.

This Office also distributed a total of 150 IEC materials, comprised of twenty-five (25) brochures on Labanan ang Karahasan – VAWC (English) and twenty-five (25) brochures on Labanan ang Karahasan – VAWC (Filipino), and 50 Posters on Hindi Pagitiis Kundi Pag-Asa and 50 Posters on the Safe Spaces Act to Babuyan Elementary School as part of this Office’s accomplishment of targets in conducting Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaigns under Gender and Development.
